  1. ive had a Makita for about 20 years and totally given it some stick, still awesome it is 110volt thou. not tried the 240 one

  12. i think most of do to this lol i either have an extra long spare strop or use other end of climbing rope slip a prussik etc on it and lower myself back to a more vertical position where the slip danger is very minimal
  13. very interesting idea as its an older machine then there is no problems re warranty etc sounds a good idea best to ask nothing to lose , just depends how quick you need the machine back up and running as dealers and Spectrum will prob have in stock , wheres it may take a week or 2 for the Engineering firm to make one (im presumming this time scale ) but again if ya dont ask you dont get a chance

I Agree Get the best You can as wearing a pair that is not comfy is like being in hell all day i have the stein with the extra wide Velcro pads with my old pair i used them to get where i needed and took them off and chucked down tree , but with these unless they get in my way and hinder me i can be up tree for an hour maybe 2 and keep them on all that time , Just because these are comfy for me does not mean they will be comfy for someone else if you can and you have several friends who have different pairs and they are willing to lend them then ask nicely and see which ones suit you

  18. Yep Local dealers always charge more as they Know you want it there and then, i always keep a spare new one i know it means spending more in short term , but in long term saves you money and most importantly keeps you working to get the job Finished
