  7. Oh it's all about the food. We have a selection of meats or Xmas. Spent ages cooking on the eve and the morn. It's got to be properly done and its the one time of year the other half is not allowed to touch the oven.

  11. That's sounds good mate. It was a while since any sort of update from you I was wondering what was happening and how you were getting on. I think the social thing is normal, I get like that all the time. Good to hear your going out a bit even if its not actually walking around the boot fairs, its better than nothing. Keep going mate.
  12. Not heard a lot. Anyone know how he is doing? Are you just lurking in the shadows????
  13. Just noticed that on the forum there is a last post section with how long ago the last post was. Has this always been there??
  14. I don't know. There are loads of deco for Halloween. Maybe they were just bored. Lol
  15. Sure there not Halloween lights??? It's that time of the year again. Why does it not feel like Xmas anymore?
  16. Firstly are you sure it's not a stihl hoodie??? Does it say its not a genuine stihl product???. Just so we are sure before stihl start suing them?
  17. Was thinking about the notice of road closure. If its emergency case then little notice is required. Could be a state that the tree will fall in road if a storm comes through. Go for one or two lane closure, they will be a lot more happy with that than a complete closure. Surely a complete is not needed as the tree can't be overhanging three lanes?
  18. Oh, then I feel your pain. Had a hedge utter come back from a new customer, had it in for starting problems but turned out to be the user rather than the machine as it started first pull for me. He called yesterday to say the choke had fallen off. Asked if I had tampered with it:confused1: He was informed that the choke had nothing to do with anything I had done as all I had done was sharpen it, fill with fuel and fire up. I have offered to fit a new one once I have sourced the part. Letting new customers down is annoying as they can return repeat buisiness and that's what pays the bills.
  19. These things happen. I have already learnt that not matter what or how a machine is "bench tuned" it's not until its put into the working environment and used properly that it shows how well a tune goes. I've now started putting saws into some timber before giving back. Some tune perfectly on the bench and run perfectly in working but others don't. It happens mate. I know what you mean by its annoying as we like to think that a job done on a machine is perfect and if its not we are not happy. As you said tomorrow is another day. On another note I had a call from a regular who has a 010 av that needed some attention. he had stripped the stud out that holds the bar and chain break housing in place. Had to helicoil it for him to take the stud, then we found the saw wasn't running so spent an hour looking into all possibilities, carb came out then in then out then in. Fuel pipes got changed. Carb was cleaned and tested. Turns out a bit of gasket was blocking the bottom of the carb not allowing pressure to build in the carb and draw fuel into it. Didn't show on a pressure test as the gasket was acting like a one way flap. Goes to show what happens when a gasket is not checked and trimmed.
  20. It seems the forum,is having trouble with pics. I have not been able to view any on here today. Steve is it so meshing to do with the changeover???? I know there will be a few kinks.
  21. Take it back to the shop. If its only a month old they should do it under warrantee.
  22. Nope I'm nice and dry and cosy. Was in she'd but indoors now.
  23. It's only the bedding in period that is 20 tanks full. Give or take a few. Once the ring have bedded into the liner any engine will run good. Remember there was a thread about the running in period and putting the first tank through it at slow non hard working. Then work the nuts off it.
