  1. IMO the 200t runs as fast as it needs to for working with. A sharp chain will always cut quick enough. As its been said the exhaust can be modded but I can't see much point. Wild you want a fast revving top handle in a tree??? Plus with all the problems a 200t comes with money would be spent fixing it rather than modding it.

 I will try not to mate. The job always comes first anyway. If its dangerous to leave work then so be it. So we are now going over to the dark side then. It's official. Husky saws here we come. Lol.

Well got my pager tonight. Bye bye relaxation time. On the other hand I'm starting training already. Got trained on basic stuff, fire drills on the boat, towing drills, how to operate and repackage the life jackets and how to sort the boat out ready to receive a casualty in a stretcher. Very basic things but things I need to know. A very steep learning curve is coming my way at a great rate of knots. Bring it.
  4. Where abouts are you. Could be someone close by that would know more as it sounds like you don't really trust the F.I.L or his mate. If the breather works out ok could it be old jellyfied fuel in the carb that needs a blast out. Or a knackerd diaghram??? Just throwing suggestions out there.
  5. Wow. Your a busy boy then! But better to be busy than an empty bench. If it was empty it would mean you wouldn't have an excuse to tidy it.
  6. That would be to help push all the water out the way. They have had a new idea that gritting salt will soak up the rain aswell.
  7. My first response should have been wtf are you doing with a mccollugh. In the first place???
  8. If you can describe what is happening with it I'm sure there are some that can help diagnose the problem.

Dover lifeboat. Must be the busiest one around looking at the call out calendar.
  10. I get it there are cat lovers around. But I'm afraid I'm not one of them. A neighbour rescues stray cats. There are loads of them on my road. And they spray over everything. Poo on everything. I once got into my car and started to drive when I smelt spray. A cat had crawled under my car and sprayed into engine area, turn on the heating and it stank. I hate cats and I have no problem saying it. If anyone loves cats that's there choice same as mine is to hate them.
  11. Got to love heli coils. Best invention in the world. Until you get something that you can drill out. Like Honda quad bikes.
  12. I'm sure this has been on before.
  13. Can we change your name to Michael fish please.

I know. I have come to relise that the boat is where I want to be. no pager yet so I'm still free. For now anyway.
  15. Too many buttons. I would be pushing the wrong ones all day. Or pretending I'm a fighter pilot.

Just an update. Went out again today. Doing some fender bending practice. Then done some man overboard drills. All good stuff. Out for a couple of hours. Then the best part. I got to pilot the boat back in. I'm enjoying this. And I'm going to keep doing it aswell. There's not a lot that will stop me carrying on that's for sure.
  17. Ok. Everyone has there own way of doing things and its whatever works for the user.
  18. Why is everyone so hooked on the caps being close together. Just undo the oil and fill then do back up, then undo the fuel and fill. Simples
  19. Don't see a problem with this. If a chipper takes 9 inches then 9 inches it will take. It's called getting the job done. If it won't take anything like what hey say it can then its a useless chipper. Ours is nine inches and it will take that all day. I have tried to abuse it with connie but it just sucks the lot.
  20. Thank you very much ted. This is perfect. I will send you some info soon. Can you pm me a rough price and the size of bags etc the come in. We have some medium size m&m bags at the mo. these are good as I could eat one every hour. Same with the bars. Please ever gratefull Richard.
  21. Cheers ted. Your the man. I tried the peanut butter m and ms tonight, I'm hooked exept the missis is not sharing. Boo. Have no fear I'm showing my upset clearly. I will pm you in the week. I went into the shops earlier and massive disappointment about the lack of m and ms. They are the perfect chocolate fix when working as they can fit into my pockets and I can munch away.
  22. Pah I want the armoured one.
  23. No far I've been waiting to use that smilie for a while now.
  24. Give em a chance silky. Jeeze ants in your pants.
  25. Ok. I've got the mo up to 16. Seemed a good idea at the time and as they were free I couldn't turn them down. But never actually used them since.
