  1.:lol: If you want to impress the ladies you have to have a proper saw like the 088.
  2. Sorry spud. : lol: that is the 026. The camera on the iPad is pants, had to use a led lenser to get enough light in. The pot is clean, the marks you see are the black permanent marker I used to mark piston in pot from the ports to double check I havnt ground too much out. After marking with the pen I slid the piston back out before pen dried and it left the marks behind it. Will try for a better shot tomoz. You can just make out the skirt edges from the pen. I can't get rid of the base gasket either as the piston slap the pot top. Done the exhaust mod aswell. Just need to replace the gasket and put it all back together. Found a pic on Facebook.
  3. Is Trevor the gardener on here????!?

‎32 years today the bravest 8 men lost their lives trying to save 8 people onboard the vessel Union Star that they didn't even know, in hurricane conditions and 50ft seas and the Union Star aground the Penlee Lifeboat somehow got alongside and got 4 off, in one last attempt to get the others off all were lost ! they didn't give up total respect R I P true heroes !!! Read more here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penlee_lifeboat_disaster A brave selfless act. True men. IMO
  5. If the saw has been tuned after a few tanks in it and run in properly. Take it back if on warranty. There are a few exhaust mods that can be done. Again same as 200t there is not much to port either. But by doing these tweaks the warranty will be void.
  6. An ms200t that's been exhaust modded and ported as far as possible is called the lion. It roars like a beast and sounds like a 088 on full throttle. Doesn't stop either.
  7. One for spud
  8. Thanks drew. Perfect sense to me now. I'm not a climber so don't know these things. Just was a bit confused by it. Cheers.
  9. Blown bulb behind dash. Will need to remove the dash toget behind it.
  10. I've got a small question over friction saver and cambium savers. When you buy the saver that has a s,all ring and big ring it states this is not a fall arrest system. Bit confused over what this actually means. Can it be used to hold you main climbing line up? As in. The saver goes around the limb you are climbing and rope through rings and that's it?
  11. Chances are you have knocked something about. The abs light normally means brake pads worn. Check to make sure the wires are ok. But also look for anything stuck in there.
  12. I'm not disputing any sort of porting spud. I'm all for it. The 200t runs perfectly without any real porting work. Just trying to put out a heads p over porting too much so it becomes a racing saw.... And we both know where they end up.
  13. That will teach you to put a pop up piston in it. Can't figure out why you would want to test it after fitting anyway. I would be squinting ready for the tester to explode into bits. I've only had mine up to 195psi on a saw so far. Not gone above that yet. Eddy. I just have this image of a rough and ready arborist running around a workshop screaming like a little girl
  14. See you got the gunson tester. Good tester that. I got one because the valve is replaceable. Also the pressure can be released still attached to the engine so quick to do another test. Only thing I found is on a saw when holding the saw and tester while trying to pull over I have hit the release valve by accident and Wounderd why my reading was low.
  15. Not sure about 4 days but certainly looking forward to turning my alarm off, lying in and putting my feet up. Allow all the aches and pains to fade away aswell..
  16. Jonsies show is on my list again. But must take more cash this time.
  17. Speaking if bevelling the edges what do you use. I've got a reverse cone stone but reluctant to use it as yet. Seem a bit harsh IMO. Was looking at files but some ports are the wrong angle to get one in.
  18. Due to the "hard" running of the saw parts wear faster than standard. Like I said in the arb game it won't be noticed as the lifespan of a saw is short anyway due to usage. The saw is revving higher than it would under "normal" aspiration so its just wearing quicker. A racing saw is no good for everyday use as it won't last long cutting timber for 8 hours straight. A ported "working" saw runs with greater grunt but not as high revs as a "racing" saw. But still wears faster. As I said an arb saw will probably not be noticeable as the cycle of going through saws is minimal anyway. Unless the user really loves his saw and has it or umpteen years. Taught well I have been....

    Ok. Here you go
  20. I must add to all those who are looking at this porting thing. It will reduce the life of a saw. Probably not dramatically but it will reduce it. It does take some doing and a lot of thinking and forward planning. And you must be prepared if you havnt done it before to buy a new cylinder and piston if it all goes pete tong. Also be prepared to loose any warranty.
  21. Oh dear. Has he got a sore head.:lol:
  22. Thank you. I made it last year. Sold it on now. But miss it now aswell. Might have to make another soon.
  23.
  24. Sorry I've just completely forgotten what this thread was about....... Kind of mesmerising that is...
  25. Silky hasn't been on all day....... But worried what you lot done to him now. .
