  1. Now that's just strange. I started using gt85 a short while back as I was fed up with the smell of wd40. Used a maintainance spray before and that is quite sweet smelling but its just a spray oil rather than any sport of cleaner or water displacement. Edit. Cheers spud. Will have a look tomorrow. Might just chuck a known working meter valve on it and see what happens. Just for some clarification as it was swimming around my head today for some reason. But what are the colours for spark plugs. As in over rich, weak, etc.
  2. Checked it out and doesn't look knackerd and no crud in it. Still not working right and still got fuel coming out exhaust. Oh well. Either the customer needs to wait so I can fix it or he can take it back. Need to get it on the proper dirty bench tomorrow and give it a good testing. Somehow between tree work and RNLI
  3. Yep. That's is where I'm heading. I'm at home so havnt got the testing gear with me. Teach me to take on a rush job. Lesson learnt. Will have To check it out. Again. Looks like a busy night.
  4. Ok. The ms250 has decided to be a pig.. Cleaned it out and it run perfectly. Fired it up twice. Called customer as it was a bit of a rush job as the saw is needed tomorrow. Now it won't run at all. It is spewing fuel out the exhaust so much so that it drips onto flow after only trying to start for a bit. Looked at the metering valve but nothing there. Adjusted it both ways. Can't figure out why the fuel is coming out of exhaust so quickly the comp is all good. The diaphragms are all ok.
  5. Forget about the 250 sorted it. Can't believe I didn't see it when I picked the saw up. The choke lever was off so the saw wouldn't go into choke and wouldn't start, just flood itself out. I like easy fixes. Plus I didn't get he kitchen work top very dirty either.
  6. Had a quick look at the 034. Good comp, good spark, seems to be getting fuel but not taken carb off yet. It dies when you pull on throttle. Hooping not crank seals but need to do a test for that. Picked up an ms250 on way home. Not starting. Comp is good and spark is good. Fuel is getting to plug.... And fuel is under pressure when trying to start.
  7. Oh no, quick spud get some more pics up. The tidy brigade will out number us messy lot soon.:lol:
  8. Maybe he tried starting up but the business failed. We do see this happening.
  9. I always find it funny how they are very lady like when going out but get them behind closed doors and they turn into animals. Sorry slight derail. I'm sure no one will notice
  10. Congrats. My son is everything. And I hope I can teach him everything I know. Plus I can't do any worse than my old man.
  11. I know you don't. Your bench is just.... Well in the words of al Murray NOT NORMAL.
  12. Gardenkit is that some sort of therapy you are trying out. OCD is annoying one of the others kids has it. It's a nightmare when I'm trying to cook and she is chasing around behind me cleaning up.
  13. So going back to the original question. The police would only be interested in the impersonation bit.ompersonating the royal family is very much in the same league as impersonating a copper or someone else in power. For the record I have no love or care for the royal family. I'm not interested in what they do or don't do for the country. There is a simple fact for this story and that is a couple of djs made a prank call and got more than they bargained for. Under some circumstances a nurse has died be it suicide by being traumatised by this or some other circumstance. We will probably never know unless someone tells the media. Do the police need to get involved yes I feel they do but not to chase the djs over the call but if there actions where linked to the nurses death.
  14. Ther is one thing I can't figure out. I'm not trying to start a debate or anything but.... They can do the work cheap. Fine if they can then so be it, they can work on minimum wage and live off it. (In my area they seem to have big BMW cars) I know I couldn't live on it. But I want to know how they can manage it...
  15. At least it is only a window. I had my car broken into a few years back. They took the stereo and a few othe Brits of audio gear. But instead of breaking a window they bent the top of the door back. Why. A window is cheaper to replace and it wouldn't have bothered me much. But a new door and respray came to over 300 quid....
  16. I'm finding it strange that I can easily see every tool. If I walked in there and you asked me to get one I bet I could find it in seconds.
  17. Yeah but can you imagine living with people knowing you fell for the prank. The loss in trust by her superiors etc etc etc.
  18. Con- It's not a greenmech. :lol::lol:
  19. Kev assisted suicide is illegal. There is no law against topping yourself.
  20. No I know nothing otherwise. All I'm saying is what I've posted. As the Samaritans have said one event rarely leads to suicide. There are plenty of conspiracy theories about the royal family out there. And no the matter is not for the police. Only to investigate the poor nurses death. Suicide or other.
  21. Your going on the fact that it was actually suicide??,!!.
  22. Wow 90psi and it is ticking over... What comp tester are you using. Is it a screw in type or hold type? Spud could be on the money with the metering arm. Especially if the carb has been apart to clean it out. I good way to think if the comp is really that low is what does it feel like to pull over? Normally you can tell by giving it a pull and feeling for how easy it goes.
