After reading threw your thread Delabodge you have inspired me to finally make a start on my take of a sheperds hut. I have had a caravan chassis which I cut the top off about ten years ago which I'am going to use for the running gear. It needs to be made slightly wider so as to make a bed 6' long across the end. Going to make the frame work and then I can take the measurements to get the curved tin ordered. Here's a photo from the start of the project.

I thought the demo on rigging was eye opening as to the weight on the rope at different degree of bend ratios . Really hope they are going to run a workshop my way and hopefully I will be able to attend

I have the 20mm blue poly and I think it has a SWL of 5 ton. Have used with the tirfor tu16 with great success .winched a big beech to the bank of a moat no trouble. Like others have said no great disaster if you drop anything on it

Here's a friend of mines camel landrover. It had a complete rebuild about 7 years ago which cost a fortune but it has family connections so will always be kept.

I use a zigzag and a right foot pantin and am right handed works great. Petzl pantin for me and is easy on the rope.
