    stihl261

The MS260 was a great saw and still is, mine is still going strong. The 261 had a lot to live up too and it does not. Other Stihl saws and brush cutters are great but not this one. But that's just my opinion. I always wear chainsaw gloves.

I am a bit Stihl fan but don't get a 261, you might regret it.
  3. Stihl FS490 with the largest mulching blade they supply:thumbup:
  4. Oh how true our local news paper the Wells Journal is better than those two put together and better gossip:001_smile:
  5. Express news paper! Just as bad at covering genuine news as the Mail news paper! We are all doomed!!!
  6. I had an email from inland revenue saying I had a £660 income tax refund and had to register with them to claim via a link. It was blatantly a scam. These people are out waiting to steal money off you. The scammers of course not the government!
  7. I know exactly what you are talking about, they had them in college many years ago. They were made by the college and I have never seen them on the market. Best bet is to make one or just buy a cheap electric sharpener, remove the motor and just use the clamp set on it.
  8. Very impressed! Top gear might offer you some money for that?
  9. Very nice fencing. I do fencing when I can in the summer months when the tree work slows down. Stock fencing is my favourite.
  10. Never felt the need for an angled head to be honest, but I could see an advantage to have one.
  11. I have a Stihl pole saw, and it's one bit of kit I could not be without. Got me out of trouble and has saved me so much time and energy. Solidly built and powerful, I would go for the Stihl. Hope that helps?
  12. I am looking for a self employed reliable chainsaw operator around the Wells Somerset area. Mainly Nature Conservation work, felling, brush cutting and some climbing. Experienced person preferred, willing to work in all weather conditions. An interest in Nature Conservation would be good. Minimum CS30 and 31 but climbing tickets would be great.
  13. Yes I agree the idiots who wanted to wear the pelts as well!
  14. I had one walk straight in front of me 2 feet away was not scared of me at all. If I had a fork in my hand it would have had it or the brush cutter! They cause a lot of wildlife damage down here on the Somerset levels. But it's the animal rights who are to blame for releasing them.
  15. SuperTack Bio from Clark forestry

    l200 truck

Got a 2005 Trojan, it's a good truck and my pride and joy. A bit more pulling power would be good. Weak point on all of them is the crank shaft pulley, not the end of the world but can be a bit pricey to replace.
  17. Yea, Rob Blake at Blake training. Based at Middlezoy near Bridgewater. He's a good bloke and been using him for years. Google Blake training.
  18. Check out the bracken control news group website, you will find all the information on there. A bit late in the year now to spray bracken, I would brush cut it now. I only cut and bruise bracken now I have never liked spraying asulox, its a chemical and I don't trust chemicals.
  19. You can order more discs via lidl spares dept Jon, phone number in instruction manual. Don't know how much they are?
  20. Got one on Monday, have sharpened a couple chains with it and I have to say I can't fault it.
  21. I think I paid around £190, on day course. you learn how to set up traffic lights, signs and the general road traffic act, but only the relevant stuff to you. It teaches you what you must know and do. This was through a company called Sun Traffic. But to save the hazzle I get them to set up any traffic lights and I can control them if they have to go all red.
  22. Tyres direct online are superb, sorted me out for my black moduler wheels and mud terrains. Very quick and knew what he was talking about.
  23. Yep, magnetic Britax led on top and magnetic reflective chevrons for the tail gate. Can put them on when needed.
  24. Got one today, first impressions seem ok. £20 you can't really go wrong.
  25. If only I had £30.000 to spend, great bit of kit.
