  4. Hi Jon, I got the heavy weight ones. Standard ones on mine are just to soft. Glad I got a good make.
  5. Thanks lads, will get some spring clamps and do it myself. Looked on you tube etc looked ok to do. Just wanted to check with the arb boys!
  6. Just purchased some up rated terrafirma shocks and springs for my defender. Has anyone bought some and changed them themselves or should I take it to a garage? Been reading up on changing them seems not too bad.

  9. Very happy with my jet winch, and I have used tirfors. Bought mine from landmark trading arb supplies.
  10. I use either a Jet winch or lug all. Both are great bits of kit. The Jet winch is a budget Tifor but I can't fault it and have pulled some serious timber with it.
  11. Ford Capri, now that was a car you could lose the back end in. Think they call it drifting now? Those were the days!

  21. understand that, when I do a quote and the client says "I am getting other quotes" I know there are other tree surgeons out there will do it dirt cheap just to get the work. Rock bottom for me does not mean rock bottom for someone else.

  23. I will put in a quote rock bottom price to do a job, but another quote comes in cheaper than mine. And I ask myself how can they make much of a profit and run a business? But that's life! That's your quote and stick to it, don't sale yourself short. I have given up worring about it. You get what you pay for.
