I just like to do all the work up front then when someone places an order I pick a bag up, put it in the trailer & go, minimal work at that stage. I can see the advantages from a storage & drying point of view (plus the machinery looks interesting) but looks like there's a lot of expense involved to get to the stage where you can do it as quick & efficiently as the various videos you see on YouTube. Don't get me wrong though, if I had a whole Posch billeting set up given to me for free and a heap of straight wood I'd definitely give it a go lol Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Yep, if it was a flatish field I'd push it over with the tractor then get a wire rope round it but bothered its going to end up going down the hill through the wall and take the tractor with it ha ha.

Now I've been using vented bulk bags I think it'd be good if someone offered them with the loops that go the full length of the sides of the bags like on the Travis Perkins builders bags. No getting off the tractor to hook the loops over the pallet forks that way! Bit more stable too. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Anyone like the new Stihl oil & petrol tank caps?

I don't really bother with anything under about 3"-4". Doesn't seem efficient & people seem to want there loads to consist of nothing but the perfect nicely split log. But if I thought I could sell them in net bags I'd have one of those branch loggers in an instant. Makes it look quick & easy. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Bit of an old thread but do people find using the road pins works quite well? Only got one tractor which runs the log splitter and also the loader with pallet forks so can't fill direct in to bags at the moment, doesn't seem efficient. Even if I could only fill them 80% using road pins then had to top up once I pick up and bounce the bag on the pallet forks it's going to be a lot better than what I'm doing at the moment...

I cleared a load of brambles with a Stihl petrol hedge trimmer. Only problem is I bent some of the teeth a bit on the bigger brambles but other than that worked well Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

With the Granberg guides you can set it so you get equal length cutters easily. Rob has done some very good videos demonstrating how to use them Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

I use a Granberg clamp on file guide. It's brilliant, never had my chains cutting so well before. And have a Granberg electric sharpener for doing damaged chains.
