  1. Is it just me that doesn't wear gloves? Find them annoying and sweaty and if the wood your handling is wet they just get soaked through
  2. Mine's never leaked. The oil spout does though! I'll be getting one of the new ones when they come out, see if it's any better.
  3. Can't see them on their site at the moment
  4. Looks good. Anymore photos of the construction?
  5. Your drawbar doesn't look like it bends up like mine! Your tyres look more like floatation ones than mine too? Any idea where I could get some? I couldn't have a larger twin axle trailer on this bike, it wouldn't pull it when loaded up and no way it'd get in and out of some of the places I've had this one. The trailer load area does seem strong enough, had some big logs on no problem it's just the drawbar doesn't seem right on mine for some reason!
  6. Wanting to get some kind of bracket so I can carry 1 or 2 chainsaws on the front of the bulkhead when the trailers full. Was thinking of getting a quad bike chainsaw mount and using that if possible but most of the ones I can see on google are American. Anyone able to point me in the direction of some UK sites that sell chainsaw carry brackets? Mounting a bracket on the quads not really an option due to it being used for farm work as well as it'd get in the way. Liking the trailer so far, been really handy for our woods but might have the draw bar shortened in the near future as it does seem overly long so I've ended up grounding it out a few times. Also looks a bit of a weak point, it bends a bit when it's loaded. Can't help but think it's because it's just bolted on rather than welded up. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. Is it the same powder that you would use for brewing wine? Just mix it with water and apply?
  8. Thanks for the replies, some useful information. Where do you get citric acid from and what kind of quantities do you use?
  9. Trouble with pressure washing timber is it ends up ripping the fibres so it looks all woolly. I don't mind doing it by hand but not sure what product to use on it that will actually work
  10. Hi all What's the best product to use to clean timber decking and best method of doing it? Hopefully this is the right forum to post this in. Thanks
  11. I'm after one of these when I can find somewhere with it in stock. The old one is crap, this looks much better
  12. Some work we did for a neighbour. Before we started it was in the same state as the area you can see in the background. Will make a start on the rest next winter Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. That's some serious amount of stacking! Nice pics. Did you ever get any collapses?
  14. All the Alder we've got seems to have grown very tall and straight with most of the branches at the top. Makes it quick and easy to sned and knock up into lengths compared to most other hardwood
  15. Good to hear, got loads of it
  16. What would they say if you told them it self seeded... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. No more saw horses for me now I've had a couple of hours on the saw bench. So much faster than a chainsaw and less tiring. Plus no 2 stroke fumes in my face Not sure what the ones with their own engine are like but could be an option for you if you don't have a tractor to power it!
  18. PTO shaft cut down and all working well now. Thanks everyone for the help. It cuts so fast and smooth! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Cheers Jim. I've PM'd you. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Ok cheers. Going to need one a similar length to a till drills Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. This it freshly unwrapped looking forward to getting some lengths through it soon! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. Ha ha yeah I see what you mean! Thanks. Thanks for the replies. Can you buy shorter PTO shafts off the shelf or do they just come in one length then get cut down to suit? We could use this shaft as it is on the muck spreader etc. if I can get a shorter one to go on the saw bench Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. I've got a Riko saw bench now. Went to try and use it for the first time and I can't have the bench on the tractor linkage with the PTO shaft connected as it's too long. And can't have it free standing as it'll flip the bench. Obviously going to ring Riko in the morning to see if I can swap for a much shorter shaft. Don't want to sound daft but I'm not doing something wrong am I? Here's a pic to show what I mean. The PTO shaft is just propped there and it's as short as it'll go... Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. I had a go with a newish 50cc Makita, think it was the Dolmar 5105 equivalent. Don't think it has any high tec engine management stuff to go wrong on it? But bloody hell it revved up like a motorcross bike, so zippy. Loved it. Just don't like the colour!
  25. http://www.mca-kingstone.com/products_bulkvented.php Not sure on weight. Maybe up to 500kg when green?
