  1. That's a shame it closed I last went on that ferry in 2011 If you need tickets or overnight stops give john Parker horse transport a call at hythe in Kent he is pretty competitive on prices
  2. I've travelled to Denmark countless times with horses and always travelled Harwich to eisjberg Denmark it takes 18hrs that ferry and you can go down to the horses anytime you need tooo as Rover says the alternative is Harwich to hook of holland and drive up through Germany which adds on driver hrs for the wagon
  3. Yes we got a batch of Sitka on the estate with the beetle and it's confirmed and will be felled soon
  4. I've had two Jeep Grand Cherokee's diesel limited the first one we had for 9yrs only small wear and tear problems sold it with 136,000 miles on the clock The current one Is grand Cherokee overland 2.7crd only problem I've had with this one so far is injector seals apparently this is a common fault with this Mercedes engine So if you want a luxury 4x4 with all the bells and whistles at a fraction of the price of a Range Rover then go for it

there seems to be more 6000i around than 6800i
  11. Yes the army and Royal Navy have hundreds of makita chainsaws all round the world correct me if Iam wrong but a lot of ther power tools are makita and the DCS 5000 is quite an older model now they have had the dcs5030 and dcs5031 since and now the Ea5000p : Haven't heard much about the ea5000 but hopefully it will be same as the dolmar5105
  12. No yours is the last model to be built by makita/dolmar no they've stopped production of the 6401 and the 6410 an they've been replaced by the EA6100p and the PS-6100 They are good value
  13. They are defianetly a darker blue now and the proffesional line is better with the black top cover
  14. Yes you are sort of right The farmers version of the Makita dcs 5000 in the Dolmar livery is the PS-500 which is the farmers saw and it is indeed approx £40 - £60 cheaper but it is down on power and it is 8 ounces of baccy heavier The dolmar equivalent of the makita EA5000p is the PS-5105c
  15. Where they quite well dressed a chap in his late 50's and and another in his thirties the older one quite stocky approx 5ft 8" selling chainsaws generators power washers and knife sets , as they where around this area Approx 10 days ago I only found out about this today from somebody

That's no problem buddy thanks for considering me you never know there might be a cylinder and piston appear for your 6800 ,out of my huge collection of Sachs dolmar and dolmar parts that I haven't sifted through yet  You will have to keep us updated on your progress with this saw there hasn't been much posted about this model hopefully somebody ??? will enlighten us with some specs and pros and cons

  20. If you add up all the urban hedges and trees that get reduced and removed every year it would be one hell of a big block of forestry so it's good that the BSL accreditation recognises arb arising's as sustainable because there are tonnes harvested every year
  21. Well written Tom , the log trade does need some sort of common ground in volume terms how many log sellers know what mete rage there truck or trailer actually holds pricing seems to be a little bit like how longs a bit of string
  22. But somehow as you say your stupid comments from middle tree in the middle forest from Middle Earth language is an anagram for funny as _ _ _ _or F.A.F Keep posting your ingenious crusade in conquering the shady areas of the woods
  23. It's a shame it isn't cut a bit longer
