  4. Thanks you can see on the tanaka catalogue which saws are influenced by hitachi very distinctive orange and grey the tanaka saws are straight orange

  7. How about a newcomer 33.5cc 4stroke mm4 engine Loop handle in that model weighs 6.7kg Cow horn in that model weighs 7.1 kg Smooth and quiet run it on aspen perfect :thumbup:

  9. They do look neat and compact Is it right they are owned by hitachi now Yes they do seem expensive and that long warranty is excellent
  10. Have any of you fine people had any experience with the tanaka chainsaws Model 3801 and 4501 they look and feel very well built and solid very similar to the husqvarna 242 XP in size and feel :thumbup:
  11. I think the p6 was iin a lot of the bigger Massey Harris equipment I know it was in the ford son e27n
  12. Bray did some great conversions in there day I got a 434 it's been in the family since it was 2yrs old great reliable and so cheap to keep running
  13. No I didn't realise that it makes sense a proven good engine around that time did they use that engine in the 1135 as that was a great 2wd tractor and very collectable :thumbup:

  16. That's an impressive output J very productive 20+ yrs ago I used to help out in a sawmill and he had a new Tom Sawyer with a lister Diesel engine To replace the circular saw that was impressive but nothing like your output

  19. I know a crazy enthusiast in Australia who has a recess in his sitting room wall and in that recess sits a custom polished metal and black solo twin racing saw with a glass front on it so I hope you get the right balance of furniture in there how about some Sebring red in your nest :lol:

I've been reading through this thread very interesting reading I can remember going to Devon county show years and years ago late 70's and seeing the NEW Mf 1200 when it came out and the next tractor stand was IH with the hydro 84 and the 475 with Perkins engine I think in the USA had the hydro models 10yrs before us
