  1. This saw is makita /dolmar or dolmak's entry level saw which is a perfect buy for the under £200 budget I must say I haven't used on properly only in preparation for selling but people seem quite happy with them Have you still got access to that big old Sachs dolmar lying in a shed somewhere

Hello I dug out that pot and piston today but I think it's either a 120. Or a 116si but as usual the label part number is missing so can't get a number

  17. We have been with shell for approx 12yrs now as others have said certain garages are cheaper but it's less of a headache than making sure you got cash and credit cards in trucks for your journey before the euro came in it was a pain travelling in Europe you had to have French francs Deutschmarks Austrian shilling Polish zloty Hungarian florin it was only Belgium and Luxembourg that would take pounds then but luckily we had huge tanks so all trips around the UK where done with a smile and a saving The euro shell card used to get you free polo shirts mugs Ferrari memorabilia in mainland Europe but all those loyalty cards are useless now with the shell card
  18. Nice to hear your back on track again Matthew hope you keep on the right road  But sadly it looks like you went off the road yesterday you bad boy  But you covered some miles nice one :thumbup1: See you at longleat
  19. Was thinking about it tonight Jon but didn't light it in the end mate
  20. I must agree with you NFG the inboard clutch system on the dolmar's is a good thing you have good clean areas inside the cover all your wood chips get sent out no obstruction and so easy to change sprocket rims I sold a ps-350 recently which is the same chassis as the 420 I supplied a pro sprocket clutch drum and sprocket rims 1/4 and 3/8 but the beauty is they can interchange this saw from tree work to carving in minutes without having the hassle of spinning off the clutch.
  21. You obviously like this saw Rod , has it been good to you over the last few months if you got confidence in the saw hanging together then as WYK says you can get some gains with a few mods send it too spud have yourself a hot saw great fun WYK done a great job when he opened up my 420 and it's great to have a little rocket to have a play with
  22. That's a shame it closed I last went on that ferry in 2011 If you need tickets or overnight stops give john Parker horse transport a call at hythe in Kent he is pretty competitive on prices
  23. I've travelled to Denmark countless times with horses and always travelled Harwich to eisjberg Denmark it takes 18hrs that ferry and you can go down to the horses anytime you need tooo as Rover says the alternative is Harwich to hook of holland and drive up through Germany which adds on driver hrs for the wagon
  24. Yes we got a batch of Sitka on the estate with the beetle and it's confirmed and will be felled soon
  25. I've had two Jeep Grand Cherokee's diesel limited the first one we had for 9yrs only small wear and tear problems sold it with 136,000 miles on the clock The current one Is grand Cherokee overland 2.7crd only problem I've had with this one so far is injector seals apparently this is a common fault with this Mercedes engine So if you want a luxury 4x4 with all the bells and whistles at a fraction of the price of a Range Rover then go for it
