  16. Years ago I was helping an old chap cutting up a Huge wind blown horse chestnut a real specimen near enough on the lawn of a big country house on a well known estate he said to me they won't spend a penny on these lovely old trees it's totally wrong if they had cut back some branches too balance the tree up it would have saved it his comment was very true. " if one Lord won't look after it then the other one will"
  17. youve got a great saw there 70cc the smallest in a group of saws produced in the 80's very powerful and reliable i used to run mine on a 30'' bar all the time 123 70cc 133 85cc 143 95cc the only thing be gentle with the chain brake the parts are obsolete and scarce iam the same as Stubby i dont use the chainbrake very often the 123 is the same as the 309 cut off saw there are plenty of engine parts out there i think you should do the latter and use the devil fast and loud
  18. Its in Australia been trying to get the guy to part with it
  19. Perfect thanks Wes yes it is a lo pro chain yes it is faster and with having the extra chain has made a difference
  20. A cheap old method if you can pull the engine over with your finger sealing the plug hole if the compresion is over 70 psi then air will escape past your finger if you've got bad compression then no air will escape When you pull it over and as you pass through intake you should feel the piston suck your finger I Thanks
  21. It does the 3/8 rim is a lot bigger than the standard .325 spur they put on there I was going to try the 3/8 1.3mm 043 but decided it was too small a chain:thumbup:
  22. Nice one Bill at least the muffler comes apart easy I've just put a 6100 clutch on my dolmar 420 Wes and a 3/8 sprocket rim with the bar and chain from a ps-3410th it runs sweet
