Great to hear it's going well Spud the power of arbtalk and its members are fantastic I've Just been doing this 394XP ready too sell not too much wrong with running pulls like a train it just needed some safety and cosmetic issues sorted, the chain brake cover had a big crack along the top. Band was missing short Spring missing and linkage well worn so invested in a new side cover , inner felling spike was missing and the threads had stripped so retapped with 7mm and put a new chain catcher on

I haven't had delivery yet of the mill but it won't be long , I've got a ready made trailer on its way similar too the photo above dedicated for that mill or the chainsaw mill which works along the same lines as the band mill Also if your going to have it on the ground and haven't got the log lifting equipment this piece of machinery in the photo , will be worth building :thumbup:

You can put the mill on a trailer and go too the work with the advantage of a petrol engine self sufficient :thumbup:

If your trailer has 18" sides then you should get 44-45 loads of logs And you should make approx £1000

Here is the dolmar version MH-246.4DS this is there shortest version at 1.78m 4-stroke engine quiet and smooth engine only 6kg Or you could try Garden Kit and look at the Tanaka they do a short shaft version Thanks:thumbup:

If it helps in any way i do acres of rough topping every year and if ground is uneven or lots of tussock grass and bracken I use three different types of tractor toppers all 3m one is straight forward two blade one is double blade mulching and the other is big flail now if iam in the above rough territory to save destroying the rubber doughnuts or right angled gearboxes instead of using the m10 x 50mm shear bolts I use cheap m10 x 50mm bolts with thread from bolt head to nut that way you have a weak point on the threads when you catch high ground or heavy lumps its strong enough to do normal cutting but if you hit something it's gone before any damage is done

Well some of the guys in the US have done some wicked things with them and got some incredible gains When I can keep a new 7910 for myself I will send it up too Spud to work his magic and let him go the whole Hog and see what goes out the workshop :lol: But this saw is No slouch in standard form :thumbup:

The only niggling thing I find when doing blade work for new fencing is the av always seems loose and not in touch but vibes are never a problem with this set up
