  4. 1st thinnings larch on a site as steep as a roof of a house brambles ground ivy small hardwood growing everywhere after the clearfell cut and stack 5. Rows each way and every other cut is a length of pulp 70 -80 trees a day to make a decent crust
  5. I've sold three Dolmar versions too customers and have one myself and they are good machines very economical mine is run on aspen and they've all been trouble free and if your religious with the engine oil changes at regular intervals as the sump only holds 80ml Reports from people say they aren't quite as powerful as the stihl equivalent but the engine speed probably wouldn't be the same but they will do the job and are quiet and vibes are good

    Dolmar

Not good news Ian if you want too send it down too me I will Pressure and vac test it and go from there do you think the cylinder is salvageable or If you wanna do it yourself I can send you up a new piston but again possible air leak might be cause of problem But Iam here too help sort out your saw
  15. Yes creosote redwood posts are a lot more expensive than SC and more uniform but horses will have a go at most woods you have a good supplier not too far from you it's batsford sawmill near longleat who have a good range of creosote products You could also coat the rails with creosote mixed with a little sump oil or red diesel to put them off
  16. Yes I was a bit wtf it could have been a disaster but they dug deep and conquered Look out next week home derby come on Bristol
  17. Great match 10 put of 10 for Eddie some great work after they settled down After all those penalties given away could have changed the shape of the game but they bucked down and played for the win

    Dolmar

    Dolmar ps-6100 18" 3/8 058 bar and chain £481+vat Makita ea-6100p 18" 3/8 058 bar and chain £460+vat Plus delivery
  20. As pat says they are the same saw but the price differences are correct with certain online shops and agents , but realistic prices with dealer support aren't as far apart as you may think I will put some prices up on the Dolmar thread The makita Dolmar relationship is similar to husqvarna jonsereds
  21. All three brands of saws handle and perform differently if your lucky enough to be near enough to try all three saws then your half way there All I can say is the 6100 will cover the 60cc - 70cc area well, even the longest K095 bar supplied

    Solo 681

Good saw as miker says well built again there's been a few threads on people needing parts and finding difficulty getting them But if you decide the saw is not for you please give me a shout I will have a punt at this ole beast
