  1. It will be better than mine if it is a genuine 25hp but still 5hp short for the minimum I would say .
  2. Im missing something . crap saw yea but the chain break looks the right way round to me ??
  3. Handy for your local cat burglar ....
  4. Happened to me at around 50 . Wore tesco glasses for a bit for close up then got my eyes lasered . I know have whats called " blended vision " Not worn specs for 10 years . The right eye does the long vision and the left eye does the close stuff . The brain discards the image that is out of focus . Its very cleaver really .
  5. Mine used to do that way back when I first got it ( 2011 ) Had all the warenty bits done , new carb and a remap . Then pete modded it and its never done it since ...
  6. I think the best way is to cut and shut it . Thats how mine was done . You can see the new weld line were pete did it .
  7. A little more bark . Next step is to mod the muffler ...........
  8. Just waiting for a granny with a pram that opens and swallows the whole lot up ......
  9. Loads of threads about this if you do a search but basic its torque you need . Bags of grunt . 30hp minimum I would say . I have one with a single cylinder Honda GX390 which is 13hp I think . its fine on easy splitting stuff like sycamore and it faster than my hydraulic splitter but if you get a bit of gnarly old elm or similar it can stall and you loose all that time cutting it off the cone . A bigger engine producing more torque would sort it . When you use one on a big chunky tractor it does not even blink and just chews through . So don't waste your time and energy unless you have at least 30hp at your disposal . Trust me !
  10. For an 18" bar Husky 560 or the Dolmar equivalent . Loads of opinions on here if you put in a search ....
  11. Yea but your not allowed to say its Bennett tree Care coz of naming and shaming .....Don't tell him pike !
  12. Thread about exactly that a few days ago . Do a search its all there .....
  13. According to the other thread it is the boss ......
  14. stuuby, old fart here don't yer know . First bike at the age of 14 . BSA M20 side valve 500 single . Rigid rear end .
  15. That would be the same idiot on the post entitled " had to post this " then ? Ah . Beat me to it tree !
  16. Water going in the back of the chipper looks useful .......
  17. Exactly ! . Also there is the longevity thing . " whats on your bench " from spud is the longest running I think with a gazzillion posts . " whats the weather " is gonna be a long one coz its the weather !
  18. Understood . We replant if the customer asks us to as part of the job , otherwise its up to them .
  19. As said dodgy Chinese copy made with pattern parts . 25:1 fuel mix is the clue .
  20. Mmmm fair point . Still think the weather has the edge over a piece of wood in the base of a bag .......
  21. Obviously it wont be as lively as on a 24 but mine lives on a 36" .404 and pulls it well . Any porting work is of benefit whatever the bar length .
