    I would go with giant wood wasp . female has the large spike on the back end for boring into the tree to lay its eggs .
  2. It is a large Husqvarna mount . As said was on my 3120 so probably no good for your Stihl .......

  4. its old tech mineral oil and just not up to the job of looking after a modern day saw . You need fully synthetic oil like Husky xp or the equivalent Stihl oil and mix at 50:1 . there have been reports of engines failing using that stuff . It was on here . Do a search .
  5. Noooo ! Don't use it . Been loads on here about mix ratios and the quality of 2 stroke oil and that one was to be avoided . Use high quality synthetic oil at 50:1 .
  6. Husky 535 is good . we have one . Also have the 545 which I prefer . Not much difference in power but noticeably lighter .

  13. I have a large Canon bar and chain if you are interested . Around the 46" maybe more . Was on my 3120 . Quite broad as well so more rigid I would say . Done very little work . Still has all the writing on it , no paint missing ....

    2 are machine reamers and 2 are hand reamers .
  15. Isn't a Stihl full chisel chain a Stihl product ?
  16. 2nd that about Karen Grabham . Helped me out loads in the past .
  17. Husqvarna 135 = 1.5kw Stihl 171 = 1.3kw So not much difference but Husky slightly more powerful . Suspect you may be mixing HP with KW figures ?

  19. Brian Moor was explaining the new rules . I think they have to engage fully and bind with no shove / hit before the ball comes in .
  20. I have green fresh cut timber and well seasoned but rained on timber . When the wind gets up and ( if ) the sun comes out the old stuff drys out in a few days where as the green wood still needs a couple of years . My experience anyway ......
