  1. Looks good . Plenty of torque is key ... Loadsa grunt and jobs a goodun .
  2. I would gladly try one and am convinced by TDC and shavey as they are pros and know whats what . Only problem is I have a full fleet of Huskys most of which are spud ported . Having said that thee Dolmars look the business and obviously do the business . So if I was starting from scratch they would be at the top od the list .....
  3. Yes , absolutely . If you can get it split and stacked so that it does not get wet but gets all the wind going then you are a bit ahead of the game . I don't use it as quick as that so for me its best to leave it in the round until I need it but if you want a faster turn around tjhen yes split it as soon as you get it but make sure it gets plenty of air and no wet ....
  4. There is another one springs to mind ...I used to dive a bit and divers hate it when FINS are refereed to as FLIPPERS ! L.O.L.

    Down.....

PC . We just recently quoted to clear up a fallen eucalyptus in a garden . The chap declined our quote saying a bit too much , I will get my gardener to do it ........A week later the gardener had cut all the brash off and piled it every which way in a tangled mess . One or two cuts in the trunk with a poorly sharpened Band Q special and abandoned . Can we come and sort it out ! . Yes of course ... Same price as we quoted but harder work because of the tangled mess but hey ho ...We then got other work from it . Stick to your guns but be sure you quote for exactly what the customer wants not what you would do if it were your own problem in your own house .
  6. I think there is a distinct difference between seasoned wood that has got wet from rain and freshly cut green wood . I leave mine unsplit in a stack outside because I have no choice . I split it when I need to refill the log store and it drys out relatively quickly .Green freshly felled stays outside in the stack for a couple of years at least .
  7. Funny that . I was just thinking an Umpaloompa would pop out from behind any moment ....
  8. Love them ! / As long as you have sufficient torque , tractor of 35 hp upwards they are superb . I have one with its own engine but alas its not big enough for the gnarly knotty stuff being only 13hp . Having said that on easy splitting stuff its way way faster than my hydraulic one ....
  9. If it was over revving then that points to an air leak . Not your slightly differing mix ratio . I would check the fuel hose is not split , the carb boot , the crank seals etc etc ......
  10. TDC might shed some light on this .....
  11. Its wood and if its dry it will burn .....
  12. But you and I both know it can become a 372 quite simple
  13. and you can put your sarnies on the spike for later ....
  14. Only removed the spark screen from day one . Don't know if here is any/ some / alot of scope for modding . New 550/560 are pretty good strait out of the box with regard to transfers etc .
  15. The best customer service I have had is my local pub . You ask for a beer , they hand it to you , you hand them some money .......
  16. The Husky does have a tortoise/hare button but I never use it . The 545RX is a loony but you control the throttle ! ......
  17. Read every thing so far ( including my first post ) and think ....365 (grind out the transfer baffles at your leisure to make it into a 372 ) and have a selection of bars and chains to suit your requirements .
  18. Cant help you with the rules / regs re bats but we do do some work in a wood on the Pagham Nature reserve and we were asked to ring bark alot of the mature sycamore to leave it dead standing specifically for the bats .
  19. I find with mine it need one " cough " on choke if its been not running for more than 5 mins ...
  20. Hello . Good luck with your tickets . My advice ...relax and have a good breakfast . You'll be fine .....
