  1. 562 comes standard with 3/8 running gear . ( large mount ) Can also have high top cover and filter . Clutch cover looks the same at first but has differences to acomodate 3/8 clutch . The felling dawg mounting holes are further apart so dawgs not interchangeable . Electronics are the same as far as I know ...
  2. I remember the Gat . The barrel used to jump forward when you discharged it . Picking pellets out of my chest L.O.L.
  3. Should be ok at 50:1 . In fact some say it would run leaner at 40:1 simply as there is less fuel ...
  4. Pissed down most of the day Jon climaxing with heavy stuff between 3.00pm and 4.00pm stopped now . Had to light the stove bud !
  5. It starts off relatively slowly and accelerates to maximum speed when the con rod reaches horizontal . This is the max impact point . The pinion then disconnects with the rack for the return stroke . Least that's how I perceive it to work .
  6. They have been around for quite a while in the states
  7. Not sure when it came out but seem to remember that the auto de comp was a " new innovation " that had been fitted to strimmers and the like so the thought they would try it on a saw . Turned out to be a hindrance rather than a help so they did away with it . Either that or its my age !!!
  8. Bugger we did the same ! Filled ours with split shot fishing weights ....
  9. Yep . I crimped one off and fitted a blue button once . Could not seem to get it started with auto de comp . Once I changed it it started no problem . I am sure early 357 never had it though .....
  10. Like that . Better than my " birds poop " welding . Seen similar but not down there . Filing on you knees perhaps . Still good though ...
  11. Just a guess but trepanning cutter or hole saw ....?
  12. My heaviest pick is a Fender medium tortoise shell . Good on 9 gauge strings ...........Sorry just could not resist
  13. When I was small , in infants school , I thought it would be a spiffing wheeze to put drawing pin on Eddie Belsie's chair . The usual result .... Teacher said who did that . I came clean . She said if you are going to mess about you may as well not be here . I took her at her word and snuck out spending the rest of the day meandering along the river Lavant eventually returning home at the usual time totally unaware of the worry and torment I had caused for the teacher and eventually my parents and local police .
  14. I thought the very early models were blue button , then came the pants auto de comp , then they did away with it and went back to blue button .
  15. Been Sunny all week . Pissed down today for most of the day . 5.00 pm ish now and the sun has come out . West Sussex .......
  16. Thanks . Would be interested in your findings .....
  17. If it was screaming there would have been an air leak somewhere . Fuel line , carb boot or other making it run lean and nipping up . . Old fuel can be a problem too .
  18. Thats kinda how I read it . Other useful stuff is borne out of the squabbling.....
  19. Ask for a demo , take your own logs . Start on a bit of syc and work up to a bit of helical grained elm
  20. These were being sold on the bay for £1600 all in recently . I was tempted but heard things like " great on strait grained wood but not any good on knotty gnarly stuff " Inertia fly wheel design I think driving a rack and pinion .
