  2. My 395 pulls a .404 36" no problem .
  3. If he is refuelling on sight ( as most people do ) then there is all kinds of crap blowing about . When you are flat out in the woods try filling the oil tank without getting any saw dust in the tank ! I would be very surprised if it was in the fuel to start with .
  4. They maybe short to somewhere on the chassis/engine casing to cut the spark . Perhaps a bit of a clean up in that area ?

  10. To be honest the above comments are spot on . Have seen similar on a " Bobcat " and the whole show was much faster .
  11. Yea the second model with all the hydraulic adjustment and selection is the " billie bollox "
  12. I have 2003 model that is still going strong . Admittedly it does not get much use now a days but had 2x 394 before that and they were sound also . Apart from the consumables mentioned above I think they are one of the best big saws you can get .

  14. I like the Sugihara ones . I find them comfortable , not too hot and with a good palm .

  16. The ones that make me laugh are the ones from parts of Scotland were the picture shows a background with not a tree in sight !

  20. My saw boots are Pfanner and Meindle and I have 3 pairs of walking / hiking boots by Grisport . All water proof and all treated with Leadergris .
