  1. I was speaking to a woman who has just come back from a holiday , out in the Asia land somewhere ( sorry cant remember ) and she said the roads and pavements were made up of crushed plastic bottles , several inches deep . Not by design , just discarded .
  2. You mean they are really cleaning up OUR act ...
  3. Yea , it does coz a huge percentage of the worlds scrap/waste plastic is shipped to China .

Yep . It would seem so . No doubt he would have been to a few arb shows but .

  7. Acknowledged Andrew Gale from time to time in the filling station in Storrington but never actually spoken to him . Conversed on here now and then . Bumped into him this morning at DM Chainsaws in Walberton . What a pleasant and knowledgeable chap .

    Buying a new saw

Mmmm . He would not say ! ? All I know is after the initial problems like cutting out when mid cut and hot start problems ( had a replacement carb under warranty ) since I got it back from him it runs stronger starts easy and is louder . Outwardly all I can see is he has cut and shut the exhaust can ( obviously removed some of the baffle ) and opened up the outlet . I suspect he has done other stuff but who knows ?

    Buying a new saw

Mine was " fettled " by petemate390 on here pretty soon after I bought it . It was one of the first with one less crank case bolt ( 2011 saw ) but still going strong .

    Not if you fit a 562 on a 560 as I have .

    Buying a new saw

The crank is slightly different on the end due to the 3/8 running gear and oil pump . They both have the same crank stuffers I believe . My 560 above .

What do you mean by heavier components driving it ?
  13. The Euc over here ( that I have come across ) stays pretty dense but does not split easy , especially with that helical grain . If you don't split it soon after felling it goes off like concrete ! Would rate it slightly above Leylandii . Similar heat output but burns for a bit longer .
  14. Just seen it could be 33 degrees by Tuesday ....
  15. It is good fire wood ( stove only as it spits a goodun ) and also makes charcoal . You need a decent mechanical splitter really though .
  16. Got one growing out of a crack in my patio that gets strimmed down every year . Hard a nails it is .
