  1. Tight as you like !
  2. I had several of the above and as you say initially I thought they were great if not a bit prone to falling over due to the minimal footprint . One fell of the back of my pickup and smashed the green spout . Prior to this the green spout worked faultlessly . I bought 3 or 4 replacement spouts and none would shut off properly . The newer Husky can is much better as it has a larger foot print and the spout works well but only if you use Alkylate fuel , Aspen etc . With the latest Ethanol pump fuel they eventually stop working properly .
  3. Yes . I understand your thinking I too have seen trees in woodland with obvious die back and one stood next to it with minimal signs and the next one has it . I don't know why the splits are there ( I have heard some people saying ash are just doing what ash do , what ever that means ). Regardless of the splits , if it has it it is doomed sooner or later . I take no pleasure in this and sincerely hope that there are some resistant trees and the keys are harvested . Round here , West Sussex / Hampshire all ash that is roadside or foot path side has been or is being felled to mintage the risk of danger to Joe public . It is an unhappy situation .
  4. You said it had " minimal signs of die back " these I presume ( rightly or wrongly ) were obvious to you or you would not have posted as such . In my experience , just as an observer , these " minimal signs of die back " become more than minimal till eventually its the only thing happening . I don't mean to be harsh but when it all started ( became news ) I saw trees with minimal signs and 3/4 years later some did not flush the next spring yada yada yada ...
  5. To be fair he has never liked me . We never got on right from the start .
  6. This .
  7. You can get that frozen but I like to mash my own with some butter and black pepper .
  8. I like that , and Jill . ?
  9. Bearing in mind I am a seriously old git ...I worked for several years without any tickets coz I always had a saw and experience kept me alive . I did get tickets some years later and I think its the only way these days . I don't think you can take a dump without a ticket now .
  10. Throttle linkage stuck , massive air leak , God hates you .
  11. Think its pics of " babes " and " honeys "
  12. Absolutely . As I said I have run .058" Stihl chains on Husqvarnas I preferred them to be honest thought they were a tad harder but that was many years ago and I think things have improved/ moved on now .
  13. I have seen it work after a fashion but the bar rails were well worn and slightly splayed . Not ideal . Anyway it seems its not the case in this instance .
  14. The Stihl chain could very well be .063 ( 1.6 ) gauge , which would make it tight . I have had Stihl chains that are .058 and run them on a Husqvarna but generally Stihl chains ( made to run on Stihl saws ) are the wider gauge .
  15. The plick thotens .....☺️

    Over stood ?
  18. Would that be the fuel solenoid ? Its only a cheap part . Have they tried a new one ?
  19. Yes it would . I bought , years ago , a " West Coast " 385xp from Canada . It had a 28" bar with a semi chis narrow kirf full skip chain with the rakers practically filled right off . I was told by the guy it was a soft wood only felling saw .
  20. My daughter has been back for a week now and yesterday the fire alarm went off and they all had to stand together on the field ?!?!
  21. Shut up .
  22. Green Alder ? ....Alnus viridis ?
  23. Any way . Its long past my bed time so I'm off up the wooden hill . Laters boys . ?
  24. The olden days ! You must think I was borne in back and white !
