  1. I don't expect anything , as I said never used them . It was just an observation .
  2. I can not comment having never used them other than to say the reports from people who have used them varies considerably . Differences like inconsistent hardness of cutters ( some you cant touch with a file some you can ) chains stretching ( not just after first tension ) some with no complaints at all . This leads me to conclude ( rightly or wrongly ) that the quality control is non existent .
  3. I don't get much but I like Hazel as a fire wood . Obviousely it is usually of a diameter that wont need splitting . You could compair it to galvanised buckets or custard if you want but probably most good burning wood is were its at .🙂
  4. Would that be tight as 2 X coats of paint on a ducks arse ?
  5. Sealants are " old school " and not used now a days preferring the tree to do its own healing . Its your call obviously but if it were mine I would have it out ( split and season it ) and replant with a tree of your choice .
  6. I don't know to be honest but I did read , on hear a while back , some one talking about them and generally they were pleasantly surprised .
  7. Yes . I was advised by my vet to have one of my spaniels done when she was about 4 years old as her " strawberry " did not shrink down again after a season .
  8. There already is in the drill/driver/jigsaw department .
  9. Fingers crossed for you both Gary . What is pyometra and how do they contract it ?
  10. A lot of the guys on here use them . Also they cut the top and bottom of the liners off to make lids .
  11. I thought garlic bread was the future ?
  12. Yea but Elm is frigging gorgeous ! 👍
  13. It pains me but , I have to agree 🙂
  14. I remember playing squash against one in a club tournament once . I had driven him to the back of the court on the backhand side he just managed to scramble one out that hit the front wall and sat up in front of me , stood on the T . I stroked it into the forehand corner about a fag paper above the tin and it rolled out of the nick . He called a let , still stood in the backhand corner . Wanker .
  15. Then say Marsh Tit FFS ! 😁
  16. That's one from the archives 😁
  17. Ok, ok . Can it fetch you a paper in the morning and make a nice cup of tea ?
  18. Now you say that ...the younger bark does look that way .Goat willow perhaps .
  19. The opposite really . I find the " over size " rings easier on a corcscrew . Smaller bits can be a bit fiddly and can flip if not careful . With the big rings you just offer it up bark side to the cone and it drags it on divvying it up like a cake !

  21. Giving me age away again 🙂
  22. We bought tickets for Monkey World just before the first lock down . Will I make it before I cark it ? ( question for Les ) 🙂
  23. Yea but you can stack em .
