  1. My truck is cheaper if I put my wife on it . Dunno why but there it is .
  2. There is " personal " data and plain old ordinary data . Were a tree is to be taken down is data . A blokes NHS number , date of birth and medical record are personal data .
  3. Was walking in the woods with my dog today when something caught my eye to my left . There were 6 or 7 fallow deer watching me . As I clocked them there was a loud crack and the deer shot off . A beech limb fell from directly above where they were stood . It hit the ground and bounced up a bit . . I suppose it was 7 or 8 inches in diameter at the point of separation and 15 or 20 feet long .
  4. Never mind all that shit . Quins win the Gallager premiership final . FFS !
  5. On the band saw I used to use 30 odd years ago we had a welding facility on the saw itself ( 3 phase machiene ) You could grind a square edge on each half of the band , set the 2 edges together in the fixture , and press and hold button . The 2 edges would fuse together under slight compression . Then you pressed the button again but let go before it tried to weld again if you did this a few times it glowed cherry red and you could let it down slowly , effectively annealing the joint . I would suggest as others have that maybe you have a batch where this has not been done properly .
  6. When the bands are welded together if they cool too quickly the area around the weld will become harder therefor more brittle . When the rest of the softer more forgiving part of the band passes through the timber any knots deviations sideways forces are absorbed by it i until you get to the weld it can then snap . You just need to anneal the weld area . This will soften the hardened teeth but only 2 or 3 in the weld area .
  7. Try heating the weld with a gas torch till its a cherry red and let it cool slowly . Don't quench it . ( before mounting the band of course )

  13. Link wont work .
  14. Scotts is 2 needle but so is , I think ponderosa . Monterey is 3 etc etc
  15. Ethanol is the work of the devil ! It is soo hygroscopic it causes all kinds of problems . This is one of the reasons I use only alkylate fuel now .
  16. Fine thanks . how are yours Khriss me old mucker ? 😁
  17. Yes . The rubber components have a coating on them to keep them supple . pump fuel attacks the rubber and removes the coating ( but in doing so sorta keeps the rubber soft ) Alkylate fuel will not attack the rubber so it becomes brittle after being attacked by the pump fuel . Now you have changed the rubber components you should be fine . If using Alkylate fuel in an engine from the get go this ,of course is not a problem .
  18. Just leave it alone . ( this has to be a wind up surely ? )

  22. 2 and 3 I think are Northern Red Oak . 1 is not right ( as you say ) for Scarlett . Ponderosa looks good and Robinia / false acacia / black locust etc etc looks good as well . PS I am no expert !
