  1. I don't like bump feed heads , much prefer Oregon Jet fit heads . have you tried soaking your line in a bucket of water over night . Its hygroscopic so absorbs water making it less brittle.
  2. Milling is maybe a different kettle of fish . Working on the ground be it in the woods or a groundy I have found , over the years that its best not to grease them . I have had a few nose sprockets let go and since I stopped greasing all has been fine . It depends on the environment you are working in but sometimes dirt and dust can stick to the grease making it into a sorta grinding paste shortening the life span . Just me perhaps ...
  3. Could then be something simple as a bad earth ?
  4. Methanol is synthetically produced where as ethanol is produced by the fermentation of food crops . Ethanol is a weak acid where as methanol is stronger . Ethanol has a blue flame whilst methnanol has a white flame . Methanol should not be consumed !
  5. ether that or something else 😁
  6. I remember the grass track boys doing the same . Methanol is not ethanol though ...
  7. The people who are out and about who put it in a small black bag to preserve it ( whilst adding more plastic to the earths surface ) and hang it on a tree , for ever . They would be better off just leaving it where the dog shat it and letting the slugs and nature break it down .
  8. Willow he says . I know there is a Pop hawk moth . Is there a willow one ?

    Ash dieback

If its been affected for some time the hinge can become compremised , also be careful banging in wedges . Dead limbs can fall from the impact .
  10. Its getting it on your rope that is the tin lid . We went to job where they said they would clear it . They did not . I walked round and marked each and every Richard with some raspberry canes I found in his garden . It looked like a forest .
  11. Rowen cant get " ash Die back " ( Chalara fraxinia ) because they are not Ash ( Fraxinus ) They are sorbus . That does not mean they can't get something similar . However , I'm going with Kev on this one .
  12. I remember something about chassis bending/snapping on earlier models .
  13. There has been " shed loads " on here about them . If you put in a search you may find some opinions .
  14. Not nicer than some nuts at Christmas though . 🙂
  15. I think you are right , however you might not get as much work ...
