  1. When I was a nipper , in the summer I used to go tomato picking in the summer holidays . So much a punnet . One year I took a mate who wanted to earn some pocket money . Unbeknown to me he was color blind . Picked all the green fcuckers as well as the red . Bloke went metal . Never went back .
  2. Purple colored " loons " mine ! If you rode a push bike with them on with the pump not fitted then you fell over at every junction when your strides got caught in the little billie doos that held the pump . Very embarrassing .

    Neck protectors?

As long as you use the saw how they ( the instructors ) want you to , you will live . No point in trying to climb in a suit of armor if there is no need bud .
  5. We will be wearing flares next ! ๐Ÿ˜
  6. I am , well was ( old now ) the same . So . If domestic price for the job . If forestry piece rate . I like to be home too . ๐Ÿ‘
  7. I'm sure it is . How ever I think the dudes that dream up the emission regs don't count the nasties that petrol engines put out ( breaking down the ozone layer ) and just concetrate on the nasties the diesel engines put out ( low lying soot ) . They are probably as bad as each other polluting wise , just different .
  8. Just me but I think you need less power for a mulching blade and more power for fat line ( eg 4.0mm ) I run the mulching blade on the 545RX and the fat line on the 555RX . With the blade the inertia keeps it going ( the big fly wheel affect ) .
  9. I asked the question of the OP at the beginning of the post . As yet no answer .
  10. If you are good and quick work by the ton . If not day rate .
  11. Ok . I see your mountain ash/ rowan and raise you Sorbus subg . sorbus ๐Ÿ˜
  12. Ok . You can see my point though ?
  13. I think not . If he got struck and was killed or injured it would still be partly or wholly our responsibility . That's what pisses me off . Was him that chose to be confrontational/twattish .
  14. This is what happened to me once time .....Steve is up the tree . There are foot path closed signs at each extreme end . Cones and large red and white plastic barriers . It is very obvious whats required . Steve cuts a lump and doof it hits the deck in the " kill zone " Along comes mister keep fit jogger dude . Totally ignores the foot path closed sign . Jogs on through the cones I start to shout Stop meaning Steve stop cutting . Bloke thinks I mean him , gives me the finger , vaults the plastic barrier , jogs through the kill zone slightly avoiding the ugly lumps on the ground , goes to vault the other plastic barrier , catches it with his leading foot and fall flat on his front . Picks himself up leaving the barrier down , jogs out through the other cones and footpath closed sign . I take my hat off and throw it on the ground .
  15. Also , on another thread , you can read about tree workers going ballistic when Joe Public tries to ignore " foot path closed " signs and walks / jogs through the drop zone .
  16. Was it his todger ?
  17. Is it domestic or can you just knock em over in a woodland ? If domestic price the job , if its commercial felling very much depends on what the spec is . Second thinnings to clear fell , flat ground , steep slope etc etc
  18. Thanks for clearing that one up bud . ๐Ÿ‘
