  2. Its been so long oddly enough I don't 🤥
  3. How long have you lived in the shire Stevo Baggins ?
  4. I got caught out on a job like that back in the day . I had an 10x8 double axle trailer you could hold a dance in . No chipper . I spent 3 days on it and several trips to the green waste site ( stubbs cops at Arundel ) Rashering it all up with a saw to get as much in as I could , forking it all out took ages with blokes with tippers queued up behind me . On the last day at the green waste tip I lost the will to live . I was saved buy a young bloke With shoulders the width of a barn door , hands like shovels who just wanted to tip up . He could see I was spent and he just mucked it and grabbed huge armfulls and got me cleared . I vowed never , ever again in the world X 10 Amen .
  5. We used to have to clean out the pre filter on our old horse lorry about every couple of months . It filled up with black gunge . Took the tank off and had it steam cleaned . It does not need sunlight .
  6. This has possibly been done in the past to promote new growth to get more cherries ( if it a fruiting variety ) A small cut is put in to the bark , just above an outward facing bud , into the green sap wood and is sprayed with some kind of acid ( can't remember what ) this promotes new growth at the bud and above it making more fruit .
  7. Try Mark Odin of MJO frorestry West Dean nr Chichester .
  8. Didn't Jefferson Airplane ( Grace Slick and Paul Kantna etc ) do a few American protest songs ?
  9. Solar roof tiles do exist .
  10. Thats a neat trick !
  11. PM Steve . Its his site . @Steve Bullman
  12. I suppose not Mark . 👍
  13. You have obviously gone one step further and got out of bed and dissected one 👍
  14. Dunno . I saw on program , " click " I think it was where each roof tile and each flag stone on the path was actually a solar panel .
  15. Not sure about " finding " it but have you tried your local log merchant ?
  16. I did hear somewhere that if you applied these percentage rises to beer it works out at around £50 a pint .
  17. I too wake at a similar time Mick . I too think about pointless shit . I wonder what color the inside of an ant is ?
  18. I can do from bottom up in my Burley no probs .
  19. Agree on this . One or two short ones matters not . . When filing if there are a couple of short ones I might give them one stroke where as all the others might get three . Eventually they will even up .
  20. Great response regarding you local dealer , good on you . If you went for a 36" did you go for .404 ? I always recon once you get above 30" .404 is preferable even if you have to change the drive sprocket .
  21. Years back I had a Parkray hopper fed stove that burnt anthracite beans . This did the hot water and the rads and was very efficient . . Once I got into tree work I changed it for an open fire and pretty soon a log burner as I got wood free as it were but the anthracite was good .
  22. Strangely enough , when I started my apprenticeship at 16 it was with a German owned firm and we used metric . Was not till several years later when I worked elsewhere that I came upon BSW ,BSF , then UNC and UNF and finally back to metric again .
  23. Seconded ....
