  1. Hi everyone, have a poorly Makita DCS 520 with both stud bolts that hold the bar on loose in the crankcase. The metal is cracked around the hole edges and won't allow the nuts to tighten up to hold the bar. Can it be fixed, or do I replace the crankcase? Thanks for any hep.

    MS 880

Hi everyone, has anybody had experience with putting a pop up piston into a stihl ms880 saw? How did it run? Trying to use scored cylinder(old style clip on muffler) with new piston......
  3. Hi everyone, does anybody have or know of anyone with new/old stock cylinder head for MS 880 saw. It's the old style with clip on exhaust part number 11240201207. They are like rocking horse sh@#t now to find. It's that or a clean up head and new pop up piston, anybody had any experience with this set up? Cheers, Mr work piling up....
  4. Hi all, just wondered if anyone out there has had the same problem.... Have Ms880 from new, this summer it siezed up. Taking advice from a repair technician fitted new piston and cylinder, increased oil ratio mix to 40:1. Saw ran great since then, till yesterday when it nipped up, started again and then siezed solid. Exhaust side scored badly again, like a lack of lubrication. Technician now saying it could be leaking seal/gasket, will do pressure test... .
