  6. Oh blimey yes . There are some legendary Stihls out there and no mistake . I have worked along side them . 460 , has to be up there . 260 , 660 yada yada yada . Its just his sweeping statement that all huskys are crap I have issue with .
  7. I have to disagree . I have several saws ( Husqvarna ) and over the last 40 odd years the only crap one has been the EPA California version of the 338 topper . That was pants . Everything else has been great . 242 , 254 then onto 3 series up to 5 series today .
  8. Hey VI . How you been ? Good I hope . I just wondered do you have any Ravens in your wood . Got quite a few near me . I just love them . πŸ™‚

  12. Respectfully ...OK πŸ™‚
  13. And all the above reflected in the price . πŸ‘
  14. Would be very good marketing . I think you do them an injustice . They can engineer if required . Its just people expect cheap coz its Chinese .
  15. Hard frost first thing . Cool and bright . Currently 7 degrees at 14:00 .
  16. I know what you mean re the pale color for Field Maple but for me the sticks are too strait for Field Maple . I'm still going with Elm . πŸ™‚
  17. I think they are the saw of choice for the " re badging " merchants . Most of the garden center type saws start off as a Zomax . You get what you pay for . As has been said many times before if you aske the Chinese to make a saw for Β£50 so you can sell it for Β£100 they will oblige . If you ask them to make a saw that could reasonably be sold for Β£500 I'm sure they could do that also .
  18. The cut face looks more like Elm to me and the bark has that greenish tinge like Elm . Usually Oak that diameter pale ring just under the bark and the the rest of the face is an even tan color . But just my stab at it from a photo πŸ™‚
  19. The oil in the early stuff made it smell a bit like a chip shop but they did something/changed something and you don't get that now , at least I don't notice it .
  20. I would say the blueish stain is ferrus Nails or similar . The dark brown is natural heartwood ? I'm no expert though .
  21. All he needs to do is get Boris to represent him . Job done .😁
