  4. Replace the spikes with 2 x washers and connect the catcher between the two . Large flat washers . you will have to drill a hole off center in each for the catcher .
  5. I am no expert but quite often trees in nursery's are grafted onto strong root stock of which Cherry is one . I had a William pear that was like that . At one point I had Cheery leaves sprouting from below the graft and pear above . I don't think it is a problem .

  12. I have had several over the years , most of them in my shoulder . It is important to rest the injured site for some time after the injection . As above it has to be accurate . Some doctors will put it in using ultrasound to get it in the right place .
  13. I think the Black Birds may have given up on this first clutch . We have had several nights of minus temps and I fear the eggs may have become too cold . I put sultanas and raisins and meal worms out regularly and they have eaten them up till today but not any more . They should of hatched by now but no sign of chicks . Not looked inside the nest yet for fear of frightening them off should they be in there but I think its a no go . Will check if the food is still around tomorrow . Shame .
  14. Don't the eaves have to breath ? I do think you can go over board with shutting everything off to atmosphere resulting in condensation .
  15. I had a mate ( don't see him any more , time and that ) who had a Winchester 101 . It was so shot out it used to fall open . I think he had a milk bottle top as a piece of shim on the action pivot ! It blew open one day when he fired at some clays . It did not injure him in the way yours did but it affected his balance for a long time after . It was like he was drunk all the time . Damage to the eustachian tube in his ear .
  16. God hates you . Its his little way .
  17. Just heard Pink Floyd are getting back together for a last hoorah . Don't know how relevant that is in today's climate but I was / is a fan .

  19. Potential for the " stunt fell " thread ? 😁
  20. As Mick says once you loose a bit it goes out of balance . Then the decline starts .
  21. The old " rule of thumb " is that if you divide the cc of the saw by 3 that will give you max bar lenght ( in inches ) .
  22. Holm oak on the otherhand burns a bit like coal . I like it but usually mix Oak with other stuff and it needs to be 5 years old sesoning .
