  1. I have had several over the years , most of them in my shoulder . It is important to rest the injured site for some time after the injection . As above it has to be accurate . Some doctors will put it in using ultrasound to get it in the right place .
  2. I think the Black Birds may have given up on this first clutch . We have had several nights of minus temps and I fear the eggs may have become too cold . I put sultanas and raisins and meal worms out regularly and they have eaten them up till today but not any more . They should of hatched by now but no sign of chicks . Not looked inside the nest yet for fear of frightening them off should they be in there but I think its a no go . Will check if the food is still around tomorrow . Shame .
  3. Don't the eaves have to breath ? I do think you can go over board with shutting everything off to atmosphere resulting in condensation .
  4. I had a mate ( don't see him any more , time and that ) who had a Winchester 101 . It was so shot out it used to fall open . I think he had a milk bottle top as a piece of shim on the action pivot ! It blew open one day when he fired at some clays . It did not injure him in the way yours did but it affected his balance for a long time after . It was like he was drunk all the time . Damage to the eustachian tube in his ear .
  5. God hates you . Its his little way .
  6. Just heard Pink Floyd are getting back together for a last hoorah . Don't know how relevant that is in today's climate but I was / is a fan .
  7. So much of it on the news , youtube etc etc .
  8. Potential for the " stunt fell " thread ? 😁
  9. As Mick says once you loose a bit it goes out of balance . Then the decline starts .
  10. The old " rule of thumb " is that if you divide the cc of the saw by 3 that will give you max bar lenght ( in inches ) .
  11. Holm oak on the otherhand burns a bit like coal . I like it but usually mix Oak with other stuff and it needs to be 5 years old sesoning .
  12. Stubby

    Christmas

    Fcuk off ! 😁
  13. Ok . I would not go bonkers on the tip top kit to start with just in case you find the work not for you . If on the other hand you take to it you still have something functional and you can then earn some wonga and go for Pfanner etc etc if you want .
  14. Is it a commercial plantation ? If so what are the other trees in the stand ? I think its a White pop .
  15. That's great bud . There are 2 Exeter retorts near me . Alan Waters and his mate have them in West Dean Woods . Well done . great to get something back for your efforts . 👍
  16. Yep . I have never been a fire wood merchant but back in the day you could order a cord of wood from West Dean Estate and that's what you got .
  17. But if he is giving it lots of " cave man " why does it not happen with the H25 chain ?
  18. That Strat is a genuine relic . BKN Irish tore pups 👍
