  1. I might have a look if you promise me there are no silly rhymes about fire wood ....
  2. I like UPS coz Lynnette is our local driver and she is a complete honey with a fantastic bum .
  3. Peeps seem to have over looked the pollution caused in the manufacture of the batteries , the mining of the lithium , the transportation across the planet , and finally the disposal of spent cells albeit a certain degree of recycling that is involved . Just saying .
  4. I get what you are saying doobs but files are sooo much cheaper . The more you do with a file the quicker and more efficient you become .
  5. Just get a 2 stroke unit . No valve clearances to consider . 2 strokes make more power than the comparable 4 stroke engine . ( Moto GP used to be 500 cc 2 strokes , its now 1000cc 4 strokes ) I would go Husqvarna but I am slightly biased . As suggested the other alternative would be battery .
  6. Would these be compatible with two baked bean tins and a taught string ? 🙂
  7. How old are you ? I say this not disrespectfully but just to point out you may not see the benefits in your lifetime , dependent on your age .
  8. The cutter gets hot , possibly cherry red , and then cools quickly = hardening . The cutter gets hot cools slowly = softer ( depending on how slowly its cooled ) Time served toolmaker . 🙂
  9. Actually tempering is the process by which you reduce the initial hardness to a selected Rockwell figure . Do you mean you can over harden the cutter ?
  10. All that vit D is good for them 👍
  11. Where does the money go from these fines ? To the government ? Probably pay the bar tab 😄
  12. Its a biggun ( from the pics ) but I thought Magnolia as well . The Magnolia here got bitten by the frosts we had but one has recovered and the flowers look sorta ok ...
  13. Don't care to be honest . Its long gone . There are more important thing about at the moment .
  14. All my Husqvarna are automatic oilers but you can still adjust the rate ...
  15. Replace the spikes with 2 x washers and connect the catcher between the two . Large flat washers . you will have to drill a hole off center in each for the catcher .
  16. I am no expert but quite often trees in nursery's are grafted onto strong root stock of which Cherry is one . I had a William pear that was like that . At one point I had Cheery leaves sprouting from below the graft and pear above . I don't think it is a problem .
  17. Replace with a couple of washers if you want to keep the chain catcher .
  18. Probably were it has been grafted onto another root stock . Cherry perhaps .
  19. I have the added complication of the metal shoulder wich has worn out now .
  20. I did all you suggest for years even working on it in an NHS pool . I can just about hold it up to waist height . Its useless .
  21. My left shoulder is a very old metal one and has pretty much no rotator cuff holding it in place so my right shoulder has to do all the work . Constant pain because there are 2 snapped tendons in it beyond repair .
  22. If I had to go to Yorkshire ...Aysgarth Falls , about 3 fields down from the village of Carperby . Used to stay there with my girlfriends parents .
