  1. I would get a small tractor ( as doobin says lots of other uses ) and a PTO driven helical cone splitter . Way faster than hydraulic .

  4. Whilst a sever reduction may , possibly reduce water up take , once the tree starts to put on new vigorous growth it may even demand more water than it did originally .

    Here is one example of a charity suffering . It was a dogs charity slap bang in the way of where its now not going to go . They were kicked off and only got what was regarded as the cost of their land , not the buildings and all the rest that went with it . They then had to buy a plot further away from the intended route and reconstruct . Now , they are way out of pocket because they did not need to move in the first place it seems .

  19. Just seen that a Ukraine tank commander was trying to fix a captured Russian T72 tank . He could not get the turret to rotate and had some oil leaks . So , he phoned up the tank manufacturers in Russia and explained his problem and to his amazement they told him how to fix it ! You godda love the Ukrainians . ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. I see some young lad has bought a sapling from an arboretum and gone up to the gap and planted it to " bring back some faith in humanity " only to find its been dug up by the national trust because in doing so he has damaged a national heritage sit . WTF .
