  1. Ornamental bird really . We used to have Reeves ,Goldies , Silvers and Tragopans up in the arboretum in West Dean . I think there was a Lady Amherst as well , or a hybrid of same .
  2. Now your just fishing ...
  3. Also , there are one or two folk about who have no tickets but have more experience and common sense than some of the "snap the chain brake on at very opportunity and at max revs " brigade . 🙂 Just saying and that .
  4. Oh . Ok Jon . Just need someone to be working in your area . Good luck matey .
  5. Ok . Understood . Soooo add your self to the tip site directory .
  6. Thanks for the explanation . Do you want biomass or chip for a garden ?
  7. Give him a PM so that he notices you . Good luck matey . Better still use the phone number before anyone else does !
  8. How civilised 🙂
  9. Ok . Fair play . I think ( as above ) you will need to do the cross cutting and maintenance first then the felling of small trees . They used to be called 30 ,31, and 32 or something like that .
  10. I have a copy somewhere . I seem to remember it contained " flush cutting " . Now considered bad practice .
  11. I thought that too . Belt and braces .
  12. So , from the title we have " woodchup " and in the question we have " hip " and most of the replies , so far have been genuine frontier gibberish 🙂 ( to be fair in keeping with the question ) . At a guess , and it is only a guess I would say it has something to do with woodchip being popular , possibly .
  13. Yes . I all honesty what are your intentions ? If you are a novice ( as you describe your self ) then any course is better than no course but it would be better if you told us what it is you want to be doing .
  14. Yea . Thats the truth in reallity . Its why I suggested mixing it in with other , better burning wood .
  15. As in a veteran pollard ?
  16. I don't support all the recent setting up for training this and training that just as a way of making a buck But ...If as you say you " only do this thing once in a while " that isn't gaining much experience . So, if during one of those " once in a while " episodes you put the saw into your thigh and bleed out in seconds are you going to say " thats my own silly fault " ? assuming you have time that is .......
  17. Yes . Even though its very soft and not very dense .
  18. Are you sure it was neat petrol and not an air leak . I ask coz putting on another pot and piston if it is an air leak will just let it nip up again .
  19. That's why scrap yards ( cars ) make a good living .
  20. Yea I know . I once bought a Honda Fireblade ( year 2000 ) and it was around 10K . If I bought all the parts separatly and assembled it myself it would have bee around 35K .
