  1. You have obviously gone one step further and got out of bed and dissected one ๐Ÿ‘
  2. Dunno . I saw on program , " click " I think it was where each roof tile and each flag stone on the path was actually a solar panel .
  3. Not sure about " finding " it but have you tried your local log merchant ?
  4. I did hear somewhere that if you applied these percentage rises to beer it works out at around ยฃ50 a pint .
  5. I too wake at a similar time Mick . I too think about pointless shit . I wonder what color the inside of an ant is ?
  6. Agree on this . One or two short ones matters not . . When filing if there are a couple of short ones I might give them one stroke where as all the others might get three . Eventually they will even up .
  7. Great response regarding you local dealer , good on you . If you went for a 36" did you go for .404 ? I always recon once you get above 30" .404 is preferable even if you have to change the drive sprocket .
  8. Years back I had a Parkray hopper fed stove that burnt anthracite beans . This did the hot water and the rads and was very efficient . . Once I got into tree work I changed it for an open fire and pretty soon a log burner as I got wood free as it were but the anthracite was good .
  9. Strangely enough , when I started my apprenticeship at 16 it was with a German owned firm and we used metric . Was not till several years later when I worked elsewhere that I came upon BSW ,BSF , then UNC and UNF and finally back to metric again .
  10. If you can find a good bench maker I expect he/she could make a good bench near anywhere . ๐Ÿ™‚
  11. I would contest that slightly . I too am a time served tool maker and can sharpen a drill on an off hand grinder , thin the web when it gets short etc etc . When you do things by eye you can vary your angles , clearence etc to suit the materiel you are drilling /cutting ( lathe tools etc ) This skill is transferable to chain sharpening . I am one of the people mentioned who say give it 3 strokes every other fill up . That does not mean setting up a stump vice or removing the chain I mean sitting on a stump with the saw between your legs and file free hand , just a tickle . You can do this in a couple of minutes not a long time . Given the time and set up , back home I still say you can get a chain sharper with a file .
  12. Oi oi then Dave . Wazzzup !
  13. And to high lite Dust/chips Keep the chain sharp and the rakers down !
  14. So , I should be able to get the power head only and put a Sugi bar on it ?
  15. 395 replacement Steve Sorry pedantic !
  16. Does that mean I you are not vegan you can't use it ?
  17. Its rounding the logs up that's the problem ๐Ÿ˜€
  18. Yes . Heard of this exactly before . You will have to wait until the development is complete as far as I know .
  19. So , every time you say " I find that hard to believe " its joke ? ๐Ÿ˜
  20. He don't fool you though Andy ๐Ÿ™‚
