  1. I think the steel insert is stronger than the original ally thread . Of course the new steel thread is effectively screwed into the parent aluminum so .....
  2. I turned up a headed insert and bored out the cylinder head and shrunk the insert in . Worked fantastyic but felt a bit silly when someone showed me the spark pug specific helicoil !
  3. I did it on a VW cylinder head . no problem .

  8. If you don't mind running the risk of getting cancer and you don't mind running used engine oil full of swarf particles through your saw then go for it .......
  9. Its a bit of an ugly bugger to start with sop you are up against it from the off . You have thinned it rather than reduce but you have done a good job with what you have to work with . Looking at the growth from the the thicker limbs I would say its been pollarded before .

  18. I got a right knee problem ..it got smashed to bits by a Renault Megan together with my left shoulder . Ibuprofen I'm afraid . Oily fish and beetroot are like pissing at the moon !

  21. In my experience jo public will go where he wants if it suits him/her. All you can do is sign it tape it barrier it and get it down as quick as you can .
