  1. Make a replica out of metal and wire it to the mains, put the video on YouTube & retire early
  2. Naw not yet, letting the dust settle after the monthly bills!
  3. For anyone else who is after the same! Here's the best price I could find TACHYON - 36.5MTR ROPE
  4. Hahaha meowwww
  5. You could pick up and Collins tree book and see what your identification skills are like!
  6. Hey mate, I agree with Mick, if you pm me your number I can give it to the guy I work for in Bristol, he might be able to sort you a day or two. You'll be dragging brash, but you will get a good idea of whether you're up for it before you invest!
  7. Bump!
  8. Outstanding work!
  9. Okay I'm thinking I'll go for a new England tachyon 11.5 unless anyone thinks otherwise? Joe I use 11mm blaze for a short rope/long 2ndary with a pinto and its great, but I do find it hard on my MIT's when ascending. Has any one used lyros reef?? Seems a cheaper alternative, though I did a quick search and the feed back was mixed.. Thanks for the input guys !
  10. Thanks for the replies! I've read on HB that certain types of rope won't milk, so you can have both ends spliced.
  11. Is that the tachyon? 11.5 does sound appealing, I have used 11mm but that almost made my hands turn into claws
  12. Hey all, I was wondering which rope people are using with a hitch climber / VT set up, and how you get on with it? I'm currently using Marlow, I find it tends to get a bit grumpy with my current set up, and since it's getting a bit old I might up grade to something else. Ta:001_smile:
  13. Plenty of allotments around that way! If you get really stuck re-organics is about 15-20 mins drive from long well green
  14. Thanks for the replies guys! No idea what an oiler arm is, sure I'll be able to sort it though.
  15. Hey all, had the clutch off of the 261 recently and found this circlip in front of the dust seal on the crank shaft. There's no obvious home for it, does any one have any idea where it might live? It looks like it's snapped off of something...... Saw runs fine though for now...
  16. Out of interest does anyone know anyone who's buried a saw into their foot?
  17. Still looking!
  18. It will depend if you sub out or go for employment, I asked for wage advise and allot of the guys on here seem to think that £120 is minimum for a half decent subby climber.

  21. Hi Arbs! Is it okay to tow a 1200kg chipper using an empty iveco daily 3.5t on a post '97 licence? As the actual kerb side weight should be a smidge below 3.5t. After doing a bit of research, it looks as though the maximum authorised mass of the van + chipper would be 4.7t - in which case a towing licence would be needed? Thanks! 23. Olib do you mill full time? How did you set up? What does a typical working day look like for you etc??? Thanks
  24. Haha thanks for the replies guys, I wasn't really thinking about milling as a sole source of income, but for some one with access to raw timber and an interest in joinery/carpentry it does seem like an opportunity worth taking advantage of....
