  12. Hi! I'm 22, And currently working supervising in a pub. Looking for a change in career which has led me here ! Looking for ground work around Bristol area, have no problem with travelling. Have undergone training for CS30/31/38, Doing the assessments this month. Hold a full (clean) driving licence. I have All the PPE/Saw/Climbing equipment. I don't have any experience (apart from what ive learnt from this forum and from the training) so i have no problem with doing free trail shifts or anything like that. Ideally i want to be put in a position where i will be able to learn as much as possible. I'm also looking to do a day release course at some point this year (probably around September) Ideally I would like ground work but all types would be considered! Thanks, Max 07837289802
  13. imagine trying to pull start a deisel motor!
  14. haha was slower than both of you!
  15. if its making more power than before and isnt giving you any gyp i would just leave it, so long as it doesnt start killing spark plugs? can you take a pic of the spark plug and put it up here? does it rev cleanly (no flat spots, bogging at bottom end) ? im guessing L is low(revs) and H is high? if thats the case then you could try tweaking the H a bit, cause if your running your saw at max revs all the time thats whats going to be affecting the colour of your plug.
  16. just recently got a 261 - doing my cs 30/31 at the moment, felled a few trees today, amazing saw! fair bit of power, would like to get hold of a husky 346 and do a comparison i had a 026 to begin with and didnt notice any difference in weight, just that the 261 cuts alot more quickly. Big mark, i think the needle bearing (being spoken about in this case) is the one on the crank shaft, which you will see as you take off the sproket/clutch housing. so far my one is okay (touch wood) but i did notice that the housing of the bearing is black plastic, and that it isnt greased up! guessing thats becuase its close to the clutch, going to put a dab of grease on it though, heat will murder it otherwise. cheers
  17. just out of interest how much is public liability insurance ? (roughly) , i have no idea whatsoever ! thanks
  18. should be fine ? better than putting chain oil where the 2 stroke should go ? unless thats what youve done (smoking like a goodun') but even i dont think it would be too bad, probs just put a new plug in once it clears up ?
  19. definately give it a go - keep the gremlins at bay
  20. got that one the other day, lucky thing really! thanks for all the replies !
  21. nice one ! kust spoke to my instructor and hes sent the assessment schedule through, better learn those trees !
