  1. Honey Brothers [and others] do kits, but I have to say, to my mind the fun bit is researching and making up your own kit....
  2. I nearly had to talk to the wife.... thank god it's back on.....
  3. Very neat. I believe our American cousins call it 'tree fishing'...?!
  4. I heard 'Drain-O'....
  5. How do you clean the bore Steve...? Do you use a fine abrasive on it, will the coating stand up to that?
  6. What's happening with WFW then Martin? Good luck for your adventure!
  7. Gearbox & transfer case overhaul manuals on their way too...
  8. On it's way. It's 15mb, hopefully that will be OK on your email...
  9. Not a synchro is it? Can't remember whether they're in pairs on the 380... Send me your email address Rob and I'll email you the RAVE manual for the car, think I have 380 overhaul manual aswell.....
  10. Apart from the monumental ugliness and minor detailing, what's the difference between this and Stevie Blair's one...?
  11. As I understand it, it's more a case of 'why does the ipad only do so little'... This I believe, is to be a proper PC, capable of proper PC stuff. It's turned my wife's head, thankfully, which hopefully will allow us to escape becoming one of the millions who have bought iPads and has then had to convince themselves, and everyone around them, they're the most amazing thing ever, and not a monumental waste of too many hundreds of quids..... When in actual fact they're just an iphone you can't really use as a phone.... Not sold on the ipad in any way, shape or form I'm afraid. And this coming from a lifelong Apple man as well....
  12. Green eyed again..... lovely set up...!
  13. Brilliant! I was a bit young for Castlemorton but I was at school the other side if the hills, I remember sitting up late at night with the dormitory windows opening listening to the music. My geography teacher lived on the common. He looked distinctly knackered for a few weeks! I then cycled up there at the end of it and through the common as the last stragglers were packing up, different world back then, would have loved to have gone.... I nicked my finger just above the nail the other week. The weird thing about Silky cuts is because they're so sharp it rarely seems to hurt when you do it, so the first I knew of it [again] was when I started splashing blood everywhere. Took a couple of days to stop bleeding fully. I found 'Hello Kitty' plasters to be ideal. That's the problem with having daughters...
  14. Perfick, cheers Adam!
  15. I need to Youtube daisy chaining, I've forgotten how to do it, you're right though, it's very useful on long lanyards. I have a bag for my short strop but it's a bit of a faff....
  16. I think I've just worked out where you're going wrong with your picture posting...! You need to use the 'Manage Attachments' option under 'Post Reply' to upload the image onto the server. I think you've been pasting the address of the image on your HD from 'right-click-properties' on your PC into the image link dialogue on here....
  17. You're welcome And done! I love Survey Monkey! Good luck with it!
  18. Ah, got you.... What length lanyard do you have, a 10m? They're lovely looking things, I do fancy the 7m version.... maybe on the christmas list...! And I'm with Adam on the CE bit, I thought it was just the components and the splices which were certified, so long as you use the same cord in a closed hitch it would still be certified, no matter what knot you used? And yes, I love my hi-vis.. a mate of mine is a lighting director and he did dancing on ice, he pinched a hi vis for me, he knew I'd love the irony as I wobble round up a tree.... I look more like bambi on ice most of the time...
  19. Don't see why not, but it wouldn't be CE then, so why not just make something cheaper up and leave your lanyard as it is? I've done similar with a cut length of Aeris I had after an embarrassing choice of climbing line routing....
  20. I hate these things, I had a line of them down the edge of our wood out over the road & a phone line. I struggled with it for ages trying to find good WP.... As others said, lengthen your strop right out so you're still sitting back. On real leaners I crossed my feet up over the stem behind me and sat on my heels. Bit juicy on the old plums, shins & knees mind you, couldn't go on all day doing it like that.... I've demanded a cherry picker for the last few which are tangled up with the phone line! Still waiting mind you.....
  21. From Mike [Tesgol] High quality, non genuine replacement parts for Stihl and Husqvarana chainsaws Arrival of a twin port muffler for my 460 from him is imminent!
  22. I've recently picked up an 019T which needs a little attention. I may or may not keep it once it's done but that's a lovely handy little saw... Where abouts are you in Slovak..?
  23. Have you heard of survey monkey? Take a look at it, might be useful for you....
  24. My doctor told me I was suffering from stress the other week. I'm a typical man, not known for flagging up health concerns with professionals nor looking after myself, and I've been a bit run down over the last year or two. He looked me over, signs of IBS, low immune system, not sleeping very well etc and says 'you're stressed mate'. What a load of cobblers. So he asked me some questions and after 4 or 5 I had to agree with him that I could well be a bit stressed. The most useful thing he said to me was 'you don't have to feel stressed to be suffering from stress'.... I happen to think myself very lucky and have a great work/life balance. But apparently the thing mssing from my work life balance is me. Boys, and girls, make time for yourselves. Play golf, go to the pub, read a book. In this day and age of taking the world onto our shoulders and trying to provide the best for our families, it's very easy to get bogged down in trivia and neglect ourselves. And often we don't even realise we're doing it. A 10 minute chat with a GP can make all the difference. And if I'm saying that it MUST be true! Peace out....
  25. I wouldn't bother for machines of that size, in reality you'll struggle to find something better than you have for much less than the cost of a new one. Better off selling your current saw on eBay for 100 quid and putting another £200 to the pot and buying new. Will last you another 20 years then, whereas a 250 quid second hand one might only last a couple of years.... if you're lucky...
