  1. Hahaha what a classic !!!
  2. Six tiny conifers , it's verging on crime of the century that ..
  3. Cats are wonderful pets for some people and possibly through circumstances maybe their only companion . They cannot be trained like dogs ( although most of them aren't ) but definitely can have a bond with their owner if treated right . Too many in a household I feel is wrong but that applies to dogs to . Sometimes I think people say they will shoot them just to sound the big man and stroke their ego .
  4. I like cats , they have an allufeness and independence that most dogs don't possess . I'm glad humans can't tame / abuse them in the same manner we do dogs . Ps alot of eco warriors on here lol !!
  5. Slightly off topic but ' doocots ' in Scotland are highly regarded as buildings of sssi importance and rightly so IMO ..
  6. You will end up tying a vt so learn 4 or 5 wraps with a double cross over or whatever they call it these days .
  7. Sure that is a rigging rope , that's what came as part of a rigging kit delivered to our firm . Can find out tomorrow what it is if need be .
  8. That's a nasty one , I'm sure we have all cut one handed while pushing over a stub but if it's bigger than the bar length it's an accident waiting to happen . This is more directed at beginners than anything else . Hope that heals well , good post ...
  9. What is the outcome of all this and why the importance of a definitive answer from a business perspective ie do you want to remove the tree or retain it or what ?
  10. Using mine all the time now after a year of it lying at the bottom of my bag . It's like a mini climbing system without the hassle of an extra full length rope . Small dia rope super light in hand
  11. Leaves are falling off everywhere ATM . I'm putting it down to drought stress ..
  12. I would think work there would be dominated by big private estates and forestry commission . Stunning part of the country but I would think difficult to get consistent work initially . Good luck in your venture ..
  13. It glazes up just the Same as the 8mm and is harder to rewrap once it does so
  14. New pantin may slip on the first meter from the ground , technique or misfitting it is to blame after that , it isn't as well made as the old one no doubt ..

    Yesterday

These days are always the most memorable when you are wild swimming rather than working , must admit I've had a few myself !
  16. I use this technique not on climbing but if i want to lower/Snatch straight poles which I feel are just a bit too big or too dodgy to handhold I'll wrap the tail of my flip line round the pole several times and put it over a crutch to catch the limb . The branch dangles there and you can release it safely . Don't think you'll find these techniques in manuals or at college though !
  17. Good heads up that , going to address this imminently !
  18. Don't think light alloy pulleys are designed to be pulled out of 25 meter trees and smash on the ground either ?
  19. There is a positive to this , I'm sure it will disgust many people and therefor be the final straw as regards having an interest in football hence will turn there attention to other sports . When you get over Football its an amazing Release into other and i believe better Sports and interests ...
