  1. Changed crank seals on my old 039 while ago. No leak on pressure check but leaked on vacuum test. Was suffering from similar symptoms.

    Dodgy Bodgers

That's more like it! Seen garden hose pipe used for fuel line. Had a chain saw in the other day, looked like the owner had been sharpening it with angle grinder and cutting disc,25% of the teeth were missing.
  3. Did you try advertising 10m3 of firewood for £100?
  4. 390xp all the time, run a 28"&36". No problems to date, had it couple years now. I prefer the higher oil flow on the husqvarna over the Stihl ,mainly coz I normally run the 36".

Bit different this,i wanna know the worst bodges you've seen not the best.
  6. Clark's do SIP freedoms in orange hi viz. Type c though.
  7. Not sure where this will go.. During my relatively short life time I've come across several (lots) of cringe worthy bodges,I've done a few myself. Whilst helping a friend re fit a cylinder head on old Peugeot we realised the torque wrench didnt adjust low enough, when I returned the next day with correct wrench the car was running.??? When I asked how he'd done it he replied he'd set the wrench as low as it would go and stopped tightening the bolts before it clicked. Regular bodges i encounter include:- Insulation tape to repair leaking hydraulic pipes. Baler cord to replace handbrake cables(although it has multiple uses) Twin&earth cable twiddled together to make battery cables. Anyone else got some horror bodges they want to share?? I've got some more but I'll wait to see what the rest of you come up with...
  8. Loads of different ways to try. If you try heating to release don't cool it with water, let it cool naturally else you will harden the bolt making it impossible to drill if you have to. Good crack with hammer and chisel to get it moving normally does the trick though.
  9. Yeah thats the one. http://http://www.e-paintball.com/reusable-paint-mine.html Several types available.
  10. Been looking on interweb and found some security mines, like land mines but instead if decapitating the victim it sprays them with very bright paint. Will put the link up later.
  11. Got me thinking. If you got access to potatoe boxes. Could you use an old potatoe riddler? This could then load boxes as well.Or similar? Just a thought really. No idea of costs.
  12. So very very true. It's becoming harder for these people to sell the scrap now so they're turning to fire wood instead. I'm in the process of improving security at the mo.I advise everyone else do the same. Bad times ahead I fear.
  13. Mate if mine found a carrier bag full of cash, several hundred quid in hedge near his house. He left it where it was so as not to upset the wrong sort of people. Two days later he went back, cash was gone and replaced with a pistol and package of white powder,so calls the police. The police set up camp in field of maize opposite for servailance, two plain clothed officers 24/7 for two weeks.never found out if they caught anyone.
  14. Sorry mtx 125 is smaller engine, my bad. Check with Beares.
  15. Rsm beares are the best to speak to, the case mx 135 has the same Cummings engine i think and I've seen them turned up to 160,any more you'll get head gasket problems. It's only a case of adjusting the pump but they are sealed, you need special 5 point hollow torx bits to get in and it needs doing on dyno. Beares are best to speak to think they have mobile dyno so they can come to you to do it. Providing the mcCormick still uses same engine and fuel system. Hope this helps.
  16. Steady on! Can only use one at a time.. Just buy one 390xp, fits everything. 18" bar for small stuff, 3ft for big stuff and hedge trimming lol.
  17. This a common fault on these or Stihl's in general? Looks a bit a of weak point.

    Jokes???

Mick walks into Paddy's barn and catches him dancing naked in front of a massey ferguson 135..Mick says 'Bloody hell Paddy, what ya doing'. Paddy says, well me and Mary haven't been getting on in the bedroom lately, and the therapist recommended I do something sexy to attractor.
  19. Sounds like good price for one of those.not the end of the world after all.
  20. You should defo look for someone to rebuild if possible. Deutz starter motors are notoriously expensive and rare to come by. We have a deutz engine idle in storage, the boss is reluctant to sell any parts though. If you have any numbers off the starter motor I'l find out what else it's fitted to tomoro.
