  1. Personally I'd be inclined to use a branded (castrol, total, shell, etc) semi synthetic 10w-40 for all the engines your using.it's not that expensive. Problem with using 15-30 universal is it offers less protection across the temperature range ie to thick when cold and to thin when hot. The landrover in particular would suffer due to the turbo lacking sufficient lubrication when required.
  2. A universal oil is of a much lower spec, contains fewer adatives and has a shorter sevice life than modern engine oils. If you let me know what machinery your planning on using it in I'l let you know if it's suitable.

    Jokes???

I went to see the doctor. He asked me if I'd ever given myself a prostate examination. I replied, "Not deliberately, but the wife always buys cheap toilet roll."

    Jokes???

I asked my blonde girlfriend, "Can you take the day off tomorrow?".She looked at me with a puzzled face and replies,"Mon"?
  5. Good good. Sounds like you got it sorted.
  6. You won't be saving money, might need a bigger bar one day, bolt a 36" on the 390 if you have to and save yourself having to buy a bigger saw. If that makes sense? May be bit heavy for everyday use though.
  7. Make sure you consider the price of the tow hitch and lighting loom. The electrics can be a problem to wire in and require a specific electrical loom or you'll get major problems with fuses/wiring etc. They can be quite expensive. New hi lux has the same problem.
  8. Nice truck. The clutch won't last long if your doing heavy work,30k miles max on the ones I look after. Easy job to do though. Other than that very reliable.
  9. Put a pressure gauge on, leave it on while you work the machine. Put some brash through and see if the pressure drops back at all and watch the feed roller speed, everything should be consistent wether hot or cold.
  10. Lincoln powertech 360s. Brilliant welder. Only trouble is you need the water cooling kit or the torch melts in your hand welding big stuff.
  11. Sounds like hydraulic filter or hydraulic problem. Not familiar with the machine but check everything is engaging fully. Pressure may not be the issue, if all of the above fails get the pump flow tested. Has it been run low on oil recently?
  12. http://www.lubadmin.com/upload/produit/FichePDF/lang_1/1153.pdf http://www.lubadmin.com/upload/produit/FichePDF/lang_1/4228.pdf Generally chain oils seem to be based on a viscosity of 150, although other viscositys are available it is likely to be special order only. Hopefully the links make more sense,if they work. Only used TOTAL as an example as I'm more familiar with the product.
  13. Safety data sheets are also available on these sites, covers handling requirements, health risks etc.
  14. All lubricant manufactures will provide you with product data sheets if you ask. Many companies will have these available on the web. Just search one of them, find the product and the spec sheets should be accessible. 'TOTAL' or 'CASTROL' websites are a good place to start. Hope this helps.
  15. Their still about around our way. Had one in the garden Saturday. I think they know something we dont. Think they're making the most of it. A late winter could be a long winter.
  16. It's one of those love or hate saws. I've got 2 and they have never let me down. I know of a few that get some major abuse and their still going strong.
  17. I've had my ms260 for 5 years, never failed me. Does some hard work, ran a 18" bar on it for few years till I got bigger saws.got no personal experience of 346 but do own other huskys,no complaints. Prob struggle to find a 260 now though, might get a good deal if you do find one. I got another one just before they stopped making em.
  18. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2067584/Theres-car-Channel-Coastguard-issues-shipping-warning-hire-car-swept-sea.html Made me chuckle.
  19. Fenton! Fenton! Feeennntooon! Brilliant.

    Spot lights

    Exhaust clamp gets my vote.
  21. Chain oil is simlar spec to some machine oils but not gear oil. Completely different tolerances to heat and pressure, and environmental implications if your really fussy. At the end of the day though, better to use any oil than none at all.
  22. Not sure if the narrow 050 is available on A047 mount. Check Clarks for options and good price for Oregon stuff. Better service than fleabay.
  23. Think it was clutch side but changed both. Not much to do,can be done without splitting cases. That section of fuel pipe as previously mentioned is worth checking out.
