  1. Just what I was thinking, some people are more trouble than they're worth Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Could be tricky, I'm on the isle of mull, the woods in Somerset and will (eventually) be making its way up here. God knows how is get it down to you, not even sure how big apiece it is. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Had my clamps made by local fabricator, gave them 7 years flat out work and then 5 part time. No problems at all but they are a bit heavier than the off the shelf types I've picked up. I've got Hayes chains on them, great chains but the springs are starting to get a bit slack now. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Did mine, was surprised how clean it was. Big improvement, was milli g the end of last week and it worked a treat every time. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. Anyone ever turned spindle? A friend dropped one today and has kept me a bit Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. Hi Barrie Interesting article will be good to see what the details actually are. If this turnaround by stihl means that dealers can once again offer parts online then I'm happy, We have no stihl dealership here meaning I was struggling with parts for my stihl machines and had been contemplating selling them in favour of husqvarna. 7. Do you find your tyres are 2% under inflated? 😁😁 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. Thanks Spud Will have a better look but from what I remember it sounds like he's got a Chinese pot on it.👎 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. A mate has just bought a husky 372 and got me to take a look at it for him, the saw seems in reasonable nick externally but I'm suspicious about the cylinder, its just too clean, looks as if its a recent replacement. If its an OEM part what markings would it have on it, (makers names etc) as this seems to have none. Also its holding revs a little bit after throttle release so I guessing an airleak as well. 10. Absolutely fantastic! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. Watched the highlights last night, can see what you lot mean about the commentary, those guys just didn't seem interested, some of the worst ever! Couple that with trying to fit too much into an hour and you end up with something that just isn't worth watching. Hope Cals OK but I won't be watching again to find out. 12. Really enjoying seeing this come together 👍 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. Just over 1/4 cube on those measurements 1.05x0.84x0.32=0.28224m3 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  14. Looks good but I really don't see the point. I've cut sub 12" using my 660 and 30" bar with no problems, anything less than this wouldn't really be worth milling. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. Had this once, was a new Carlton chain, binned it and put the old Stihl chain back on and all was well. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  16. Hi Justin Wow that's an old thread! Had to re read it just to remind myself what I did. Unfortunately if you've read the thread then you've read my whole expertise with these systems so I can't really help you I'm afraid, don't even know if the TW25 shares the same system as the county. If it does all I can suggest is get the top off the back end (on the county it was just a case of remove the seat and then unbolt the cover) and then just see what you can see, that's pretty much what we did. 19. Twaddle wasn't quite what I thought at the time he said it 😁 As I said I won't be going back in there, some dealers are better than others Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  20. I had a look earlier, couldn't find any reference to the 50mm fitting the 360 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app

    I want one...

Yes it is, hunting with more than 2 (I think) dogs is illegal. So if you get a dogs head version just make sure you only use 2 at a time 😁 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. I was told by a dealer the other day that if I bought a 550xp that I would have to use husky chain oil or the warranty would be void and also that there was a sensor in the tank so when plugged into a laptop will tell husky what has been used! I had never been in the shop before and will never go back. Some dealers are a wee bit better than others. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. I asked the way question some time back http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/firewood-forum/42932-log-shed-air-gap.html In the end I went for 6" boards with 2" gap, this was on a very exposed site and works very well I've since built another one with 2 1/2" board and 2 1/2" gap which is more sheltered and also seems to be working well. One tip is to use screws rather than nails to fix the boards so it is easy to move them if needed. I'd always use pallets on the floor to get some air circulating under the logs, you can always change the size of gap on the pallets so its better to walk on. I'd always Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
