  1. Gosh those big spikes look nice, if only I knew someone that could supply them. If only I could have my saw back also
  2. That's pretty much the craic though when you subby isn't it? I only seem to subby sporadically rather than very regular but it often seems that the subby pace is different to people who do 5 days a week for a firm. Defs Not saying they don't graft hard, but there is or can be something about the irregular and insecure nature of subby work which drives you to sweat it. It's hard that feeling when you ace a job and know you just made someone else a load richer!
  3. If it works ok but look a a bit worn personally I'd pull the plug cap off and sheath it it electrical heat shrink wrap a few times. Coils Are pretty dear, often the leads are molded Into the coil.
  4. To be fair the 7900 is extremely torquey....much more grunt than a 365. Parts a generally quick and easy (try shavey) but this recall is a balls up
  5. Mr vikkis hot chilli sauce is my latest favourite in all sarnies also
  6. Can of mackerel, 2 slices of bread with mayo and dill. Makes 2 sandwiches as and when. Tastes lush, seconds to make. My favourite for running late mornings.
  7. Are you familiar with tuning saws? It may need further carb adjustment. The farmertec carbs on eBay aren't too bad. Certainly ok for a year, but you need to be able to tune them
  8. This is true, but I don't know if tree work is cheaper. I.e if your running the show you still can make good money. Especially if your paying the lads 50 quid a day. I don't really know if I price stuff cheap medium or expensive though.
  9. Still not got mine back or heard anything. Dicks
  10. I can't understand it. Some firms won't pay more than 80 or 90 quid a day for a climber up here. 12 years ago I was on that as a groundie with no kit and just a saw ticket. Hang on in there ( exactly what area are you in? ). Sure good firms are out there and you'll find them eventually.
  11. I'd check rails are even, resharpen the chain checking teeth are even length and slab another board see what it's like.
  12. Teeth sharpened unevenly? Or as suggested bar groove too worn/rails worn Has the bar seen much action?
  13. Meybs time to get her own chipper and tipper? Sounds like you have all the necessary kit and knowledge. I do work for myself and sub out, it's a nice combo for me. I sub for less than 150 sometimes to pals, but only using my climbing kit and the Craics good. Wouldn't be able to do that much though.
  14. Gocompare usually comes up with some realistic prices.
  15. Tipper conversions seen to be more tha 3k. Some firms advertising at leas but when you ring them it's not. It's enough to make me definitely make my own chip box and use a shovel for bit anyways. Got a tipping caged trailer also. Hoping to diy tipper conversion in Sept as the rams and pumps are 500 quid ish.
  16. Double cab? If you possible can I'd hold out for a tipper. On an older truck they seen cheap. Just seen a DC mk4 hilux tipper For 2800
  17. If your using a 4x4 for work id be amazed if it wasn't covered in dents and scratches after a year or two. Meybs if all its doing is a tow vehicle you'd get away with it. But in and out of fields, woods, even alot of reversing in right yards seems to be a receipt for dings...... I guess I'd just be scared to put a vehicle like that to work!
  18. I am waiting on a few jobs ( in conservation area) around Penrith if they come off your welcome to come lend a hand.
  19. Here yer gan
  20. Yep, here you go https://www.lsengineers.co.uk/rim-sprocket-0-325-9t-stihl-part-no-0000-642-1239.html
  21. I sometimes run my double ended milling bar with 2x 660s on 9pin .325 not snapped a chain yet. So reckon you'll be fine. Pretty sure 440 or 460s are listed as taking a 325 9 pin also
  22. I cannot add pictures on the website when using on android but the app works!
  23. Mine has that engine also. I can take some pics of the cover tomorrow for you so you can see about air vents etc
  24. Just for TCD if your still out there.
  25. @shavey can likely sort it
