  1. Liked that. Proper tree work, none of this poncey 1.5m reduction crap.
  2. I would hope so! Could be surprised though. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my job, most days, but I also enjoy pub beer gardens, and my sofa, and internet porn.
  3. Seems strange to me mate. Have you no work/life balance? Out of interest how much did you make in your 15 hour day?
  4. I was in the same boat lads. I've used the 150 for as long as it's been out. Recently bought the 2510 for myself. It's not had an easy start to life. The last 3 days have been spent on a huge lapsed willow pollard with 20+ years regrowth. Some serious tension and compression going on. The 2510 I own is running the same B&C as the 150 I use, so it's a level playing field. The Echo is smaller, lighter and more powerful. A lot more torque for cutting over car length (I've been cutting 16" willow over the last couple of days) and it revs quick and high for snedding out small branches. The only unknown for me is durability, which only time will tell, but it feels very solid. I prefer the build quality over the echo. I was cynical at first but I made the good choice. IMO there isn't one good reason to buy the Stihl, though I'm open to suggestions.
  5. You can just about undo it with a thumbnail. I don't see it coming off in the tree
  6. We should start a boy band. I'll be the one that goes into rehab after coming out of the closet and my subsequent public breakdown.
  7. It's Velcro you numpty, you don't need a saw to open it! I know what you're saying. I first thought you were on about wife beater type vests. I don't wear Velcro hi vis when using any machinery, after seeing one get pulled into the drive shaft on a set of long reach. As I said, Stein X25 are tough, comfy and cheap. No brainier really.
  8. Gotcha. I won't wear hi vis vests on account of that. The Stein shirts are grand. For 15 quid they're great value. If you were bashing wife beaters we'd have had a problem mate
  9. I thought that once. Turns out it just needed a wash.
  10. It's a £100 fine for 3 points. Just politely inform them that when they get to your age, they won't want to waste time on the motorway either...
  11. Easy bud! I know he knows what he's on about! I only ever get so read so far though before my head hurts. It's easier for me to just accept that TCD knows his subject, and buy RL so I can feel good about my saws
  12. I hope I never bump into him in the pub and end up talking about 2 stroke!
  13. If the tonne bag is full, then it weighs a tonne! It's basic maths mate, keep up.
  14. Found it on YouTube. Just wouldn't play through Arbtalk. Nice vid. Good for the potential client to see a good tidy up.
  15. I googled it. Apparently a metric tonne is 1000kg
  16. Why is it hard to accept that some people simply aren't going to like SRT? I mean it makes sense to me for certain jobs, but if you can get a job done ddrt and are happy with it then fair enough!
  17. No worries, it's hardly a problem. I don't use much of it as it's only for my saws. The work ones run on stihl green oil. When I run out I'll get in contact.
  18. What quantities do you sell it in Jon? I've a few bottles left, but they're something daft like 473ml!
  19. You a "short gaff" kind of guy?
  20. Seriously? Nobody's picking up on the "deep penetration comment"? I thought it was my night off. C'mon guys!

    Help

Alternatively drop a match down the plug hole to get ride of excess fuel...
  22. I'm the same mate. This echo is (IMO) the one saw in their line up that really stands out. Apart from the beard stroking. My chin looks like a 14 year olds ball sack.
