  10. Cheers guys! Log production will have to wait for a few days.....just got bk from a&e......log jumped out of splitter and smacked me square on the forehead! Lol!
  11. Hiya. I'm going into small scale firewood production and to make things easier I was thinking of seasoning logs in dumpy bags. I know that vented bags would be best but times are hard and I already have quite a few builders dumpy bags so this would be a cheap way of doing it. I'm sure I read somewhere that you can use dumpy bags to season in if you slash the sides open? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
  12. That's a seriously cheap price! Would be keen to know of anyone that has one as seems too good to be true for the money!
  13. Another potential convert Paul!
  14. Bought a 171 brand new from Cornwall farmers bout 5 years ago.....only did small jobs with it and had to sell it as I needed a better saw to do my cs30/31. Replaced it with a 2005 260, only ever put a brake band on it, rattles like the stamps and desperately needs a top end rebuild but just keeps on going! Definitely earned its keep!
  15. Cheers guys, much appreciated!
  16. Hiya. I have an l200 double cab pickup and am thinking of doing firewood in the near future. The truck is presently off the road at a different location to myself. Does anyone know the dimensions of the tub so I can work out the m2 capacity? How much do people charge for a level load of logs in one? Would measure it myself but like I said the truck is not easily accessible at the mo! Cheers!
  17. Weed and cheese.....a perfect evenings entertainment! Lol!
  18. Mmmmm!!! TRIO!!!!!
  19. It's a complete nightmare to 're fit it! Comes out easily enough but resembles a snakes wedding when you try to make sence of what goes where to put it back in the helmet! The best way I found was to lay it over a big bowl to simulate a head and go from there!
  20. Seems like alot of money for arb arisings, by the time you factor in transport, cutting, splitting etc!
  21. The LED LENSER head torches are good, can pick them up in maplins for around £30. They were on offer in toolstation for around £20 a while ago. I do alot of wild camping and bushcraft and have been impressed with it so far!
  22. Think your "barking up the wrong Tree" there.......! Lol!
  23. How ya getting on with it? My mate is getting one in February, is it a letterbox? If so which way?
