  1. Cool! You in the market for a small saw then or just need some shiney new kit!
  2. Cheers mate, I will prob end up going there then if you reccomemd them!
  3. Sweet! They look like nice saws to leave by the chipper/hedge reduction/ or for coppicing type of work! I tried youtube and didnt find many vids but will try again! I think the cheapest I have found them is here - Echo CS280WES Petrol Chainsaw £231 all in! I have a 200t but dont really do much climbing so this might be the ideal saw for me!
  4. Check out my thread "FAO White Noise" and "Big T`s First Chipper Refurb Thread" in the large equipment section. Both me and Paul (white noise) have firred the 16hp Launtop engines to our chippers and they work fine, really impressed considering the price!
  5. Fair one mate! I was thinking it might have been a cheaper option to a skid steer / mini digger with auger! I appreciate that it would never be as good as these machines but would be easier than digging by hand!
  6. Thats a shame, was hatching a plan! Can the RV (relief valve?) be reset to a higher pressure or swaped?
  7. Any progress with the grab? I like the idea, got me thinking if it could be adapted to run an auger for fence post holes!?
  8. I got a Dewalt 18v Lithium Ion set, 4ah and does me a days fencing!
  9. Looks interesting! Did you get one in the UK?
  10. Yeah, thats what I thought! Never hurts to get a second opinion! Hows the chipper doing!?
  11. Cheers for the replies guys! I used to have a petrol one before I really got into alot of fencing, I remember it was a pain on most jobs but just wanted to make sure I wasnt just unlucky the few times I used it! I have shovholers and a drain (rabbit?) spade and it does the job, was just curious if there was a quicker way! Oh well, thats another reason to buy a mini digger;)
  12. Hiya, Im looking at more efficent ways at digging post holes. At the mo I use a narrow drain spade and shovholers but been looking at the manual type of Auger, are they any good?
  13. I might know someone, a mate of a mate has a landy cherry picker that he uses at Culdrose for hanger door maintenence. I will see if I can get a number for him!
  14. Cool, looks like it might be worth having then!
  15. Hiya, Im looking for a small saw to do hedge reductions etc with, I have an MS260 but alot of the time its abit "overkill" for what im cutting! Been looking at the Echo range after reading some good things about them on here (Dartmoor Timber Cutter seems to rave about them!) Anyway I like the look and weight (or lack of it!) of the Echo CS280wes, has anyone got one? Are they any good?
  16. Hiya, I do a fair amount of fencing, usually "Hit and Miss" style. I have a 6ft Feather Edge fence to do and was looking online and some people say that you can have a 2.4m post spacing? I usually go for 1.8m for "Hit and Miss", but I use 6x1 boards so I spose they are alot heavier. I use 4"x4" posts. Just wondered what post spacing you all use for feather adge fences?
  17. Looks like its a winner mate!
  18. Pm me an offer!
  19. Cheers. i will put in on Arbtrader if I can log on! lol!
  20. Hiya, I have an MS200t that I dont really use and would like to sell it and get hold of an Echo cs280WES that will suit my needs better. Im just wondering how much to advertise the 200t for? Its a 2007 and needs a tune, there is a small chunk missing out of the side handle but apart from that its in fairly good nick. I know its kinda like "how long is a piece of string" but just after a ballpark figure....
  21. Inbox cleared!
  22. No worries mate!
  23. Looking good mate! I have emailed the wiring instructions to you, if for any reason it doesnt reach you let me know and I will PM them!
