  1. Cheers guys! parcelforce is prob going to be easier as I cant stay in all day waiting for a courier to turn up (or not!) Can you remember a rough price it cost?
  2. Hiya, I have sold a 200t on Ebay and need to send it by post/courier. Can anyone reccomend a courier? How did you do it? I seem to remamber that some couriers wont transport engines?
  3. Oregon Yukon, dirt cheap and like wearing trackie bottoms!
  4. lol! Maybe I should have called him "Big Bird"! Cool, im rather curious about said random delivery!
  5. I saw those supascreen jobbies, that was what got me thinking! Would you still have all the red tape etc if you were mobile and just screening soil to be reused on site?
  6. Dragons den ere we come!
  7. mmm... prob not worth the hassle then! Oh well, back to the drawing board!
  8. Hiya, Does anyone on here do soil screening as part of their business? Either supplying screened soil or as a mobile operation? I was just looking at the prices of screened soil and it seems to be quite expensive, just wondering if there are any £`s to be made somewhere!?
  9. Hiya mate, long time no see! Hows tricks?
  10. That concludes it then! lol!
  11. They got some random machines on that website.....a tracked cement mixer! Why!?? lol!
  12. Let me know how ya get on with the 280 mate, im thinking of getting one when funds allow! Not for carving but small coppice type jobs.
  13. Looking good mate! For the money you cant go wrong! It might be worth fitting the Honda recoil start if you have it as aparently the Launtop ones are a little flimsey when fitted to a chipper but seeing as you aint pulling over a big flywheel you might be ok. Just sommit to think about!
  14. Echo definatly seem to be winning new fans, good products, warranty, price and backup! Also none of this silly "online sales policy" rubbish!
  15. Some things you can rush.......
  16. A few ones of my pet hates; "Frickin" (either swear or not!) "Yeah Baby" (mostly used by wanna be americans or todays youth) "Ringfenced" (some kinda power word used by washed out yuppies) "sure" (usually used when agreeing with what you have said, why not use the word "yes"?) "Miirrrr" (American for "Mirror") I could go on..........
  17. You sure you didnt get it too close to one of our famous "raging infernos" mate!
  18. I have been through the same thing, I dont charge an extortinate amount for what I do but theres always someone who will do it for next to nothing! I have been doing alot of fencing too recently, I quite like doing it! The only hassle is having the cash upfront for materals but I always ask for materals money upfront now and most people seem happy to do this. I have done quite a few jobs recently and most have been from neighbours of people I have already done fences for! At the end of the day I`m not that bothered what I do aslong as I get a sence of satisfaction and some wedge to pay the bills!
  19. Look forward to the update and pics!
  20. Go for it mate, they seem to be a good engine and alot better than they were a few years ago!
  21. Jobby jobbed!
  22. Yeah thats what i thought you meant mate, I was abit crap at explaining! lol! It can be done but if the curve is too tight then the wood will snap, soaking it for a week before hand will help but still not guanteed!
  23. I think aslong as the shaft diameter is the same as the one you have (so that you can fit your pulley etc on it) then there shouldnt be a prob!
  24. It depends on how much of a curve it is! Are you having the decking coming to the edge of the vertical board underneath? It is possible to bend 6"x1" timber but do it very slowly and try to choose a piece with little or no Knots in it as it will tend to break where the knots are. To mark out the curve get some white plastic 20mm ish PVC pipe and bend that th the radius you want. Mark with a pencil and jigsaw it off!
  25. Fair one! Looks like Abbey gardens is a better deal then mate! The saw comes with a 2 year commercial guantee too which seems like a good deal! I got fed up with the whole Stihl v Husky thing, there are other saws out there and I fancy a change! Stihl`s stupid online sales policy swayed it for me, also alot of work I do is small stuff as im a one man band so alot of the time the 260 is bigger than i need, it makes sence to use the smallest saw you can as its alot less tiring!
