  1. I've used a 13/75 before and didn't get on with it, hopper too high and dumps the chip on the floor! No doubt a good machine but not fir me:)
  2. I accept the above points but at the moment that machine is all I can afford, I need the chipper to get work and need the work to be able to afford to commit to finance! Also through my past relationship my credit rating isn't too good so no choice! Would love to have a shiney New cs100 but it's just not gonna happen, hence my wanting to know if anyone had come across the cheaper Lumag chipper.
  3. Hiya! I'm in the market for a wee chipper but due to business not being great funds are limited. I would love a cs100 but that's out of the question at the moment. I stumbled across the Lumag range of machinery after my mate bought one of their small stump grinders and for the money it doesn't look too bad, typical Chinese type bulid quality but you get what you pay for! I was just curious if anyone had come across their chippers? They make a model called the HC1500EW which looks to be a clone of the cs100 and costs £1500! I appreciate that it ain't gonna be the quality of a genuine cs100 but for the price worth a punt? I have emailed the company and apparently spares arnt a problem and they keep blades in stock. Seems like a good deal for a first wee chipper on a budget, comes with 2 year domestic and 1 year commercial warranty. Any views?!
  4. Thanks mate!
  5. Hiya! I'm after a cs100 but funds are tight (as always!). Was wondering if anyone has had a cs100 on finance? If so what are the monthly payments like?
  6. Thanks guys, decided against it and bought a Hilux!
  7. My mate has a lumag grinder, looks the same as the rock one. For what it cost its fine! Do 10 jobs with it and it's all gravy from there!
  8. Which chipper did you have?
  9. Hiya! Is the butt on a Hilux double cab much smaller than an l200, anyone know?
  10. They produce a copy of a greenmech cs100 for £1500!
  11. Hiya, I'm looking at a new truck and have come across a 1998 l200. I have owned a 2002 l200 before and it died after the head gasket blew.....does a 1998 have the same engine?!
  12. Cheers spud! Got it sorted today, proper old school brushcutter! Very little plastic bits on it and built like a tank!
  13. Cheers mate! Thanks for your help:)
  14. Thanks mate! I have the washer with the 4 holes in that the blade sits on, I don't have the one that goes on top of the blade with the 2 flats in it. The ones I have seen are for the newer style driveshaft with splines on!
  15. Ok mate, thanks for the help!. Where did you get the bits as I think I need the washer as if I take the one off that's already fitted then the blade sits too low and pushes on the gear head.
  16. Sounds good mate! I have the drive washer (I think!). I also have the nut and the big domed washer type thing! The only reason I was a bit confused is that I also have a little fs55, and to put a blade on that I have to use a "thrust washer" that has a spline in the middle that fits the splines on the drive shaft. The 280 dosent have any splines on the shaft, so I'm assuming that it's just the big domed washer and the nut that hold the blade on the drive shaft? I would like to use a bump head as mate has one on his 460 and I find it easier to use than the prehistoric one currently on the 280! Will new stihl heads fit? Is the thread on the drive shaft the same as newer models? I mostly cut clean grass, if I have to do brambles etc then the blade goes on!
  17. What head do you have on yours mate? Mine has a pre bump head on it, looking to upgrade it to a bump one! Also how does the blade fit on yours as on mine the shaft where the blade fits on doesn't have any splines on it?!
  18. Thanks mate, yeah it's a 280k. He wants around £100 for it so might be worth a punt! Nice to hear from a fellow cornishman!
  19. Hiya, I have been offered an fs280 for around £100, anyone used one? Or have any views of them? Think they were not a UK model??
  20. Taken the carb apart, all looks good.......any ideas?!
  21. Hiya! I just bought a br400 backpack blower, it fires up with the choke on but then dies. Any ideas what's up with it?! I have checked the fuel cap breather and it's fine, plug looks like New, as does the air filter! The air filter had a stihl elasticated filter thing around the main air filter, looks kinda like a bracket, any ideas what that's fitted for??
  22. Hiya! I just registered for my waste carriers licence, registered successfully but there was no option to print a certificate? I have a operator's number, is that all they ask for when tipping?
  23. Some interesting thoughts here!
  24. No brainer mate! Aslong as it hasn't overheated then go for it!
