  1. Cheers mate! Think I'll invest in some!
  2. Hiya, Where is the best place to pick them up? Is it ok to season Logs in them?
  3. Cheers for the offer anyway mate! I got a little 6 ton electric jobbie at the mo but have secured 20-30 tons of softwood cord and rings so a horizontal/vertical would be ideal! Splitting in my mate's field so gotta be petrol!
  4. Redruth, Cornwall! Dont mind travelling within reason as there is never anything fir sale down this neck of the woods! Lol!
  5. John, what make and model is it? Pete, Marc has pm'd me, awaiting a responce!
  6. Food for thought! Do like the idea of a trailer but also like the idea of a horizontal and vertical splitter! Decisions decisions!

  8. We're looking at getting team "howling wolf" fleeces.......ideal!
  9. Ok mate, thanks! Would prefer a road tow but will bear it in mind!
  10. Any all female crews on here......! lol!
  11. Bummer! You gave that away mate! Lol! Is the guy on here!?
  12. Hi John! Cool, u got any info?
  13. Hi, I'm after a petrol splitter, preferably a road tow. Got up to £1500, anyone got anything for sale?
  14. Yeah mate, no worries!
  15. Have a look at "bushcraft uk" forum, very busy and always people looking for venues to camp mate!
  16. P.s, all most wild campers/bushcrafters normally expect is a fresh water supply. We take care of everything else!
  17. Have you thought of allowing "wild camping" on your land? I do quite a bit of it, there is definitely a demand for it as its very hard to find places to go! If you allow open fires then it will appeal to wild campers and the "bushcraft" brigade. We normally pay between £5-10 per person per night, if you allow air rifle shooting etc you might be able to charge more. If you have a wood then even better as alot of us use hammocks. Deff worth looking into mate, contact local bushcraft groups and sign up to bushcraft forums, you will be surprised in the demand mate! All the best.
  18. Cheers guys. I doubt that anything without needles is automatically a hornbeam though! Lol!
  19. Hiya! I'm getting a few jobs where I'm going to have to apply for planning concent due to tpo's etc. I'm the first to admit (and opening myself up for a ribbing/slating) but my tree id isn't the best in the world so was wondering if anyone uses Tree I'd app's and if so what's the best one out there? I would like to be reassured that I'm identifying the correct species of tree before I submit any applications, if using an app seems "unprofessional" to seasoned arbourists then that's cool but in my situation I feel it's a good solution and should hopefully save me some grief! We all have to start somewhere.....!
  20. Cheers guys!
  21. Ok mate. Extraction would prob be a small tractor, will have to see what I can sort out and see if it's viable first!
  22. Cool. Would you be willing to sell small quantities of it? I'm doing a few logs on the side, not much but if you don't ask!
  23. Where abouts in Cornwall is the job?
  24. Hiya, I have been doing a few logs recently and quite enjoy it! I'm only small scale at the mo but was wondering how much an artic of cordwood costs (softwood and hardwood) and roughly how many m2 would be produced from an artic load? Just wondering if it's viable at the mo!
  25. Cheers spud!
